It was a Wednesday.

The gang and I ate and talked at school in the cafeteria.

"Who wants to go to the park after school?" John asked.

We all said yes.

It was 23 minutes later.

The bell rang.

"I have drama," I said.

"Same," Mack said.

"Me too," Beth said.

"Leah and I have cooking." Big Paul said.

We all left the cafeteria. Beth Mack and I headed toward the theatre, and we walked in. We sat on the chairs.

"Today, class, you will be performing your puppet plays. Beth, Mary, and Mack will perform 1st. Everyone grab your puppets." The teacher said.

Everyone stood up and grabbed their puppets from the box on the teacher's desk.

We were doing a play about how bullying is wrong.

Mack Beth and I went to the stage. We started performing.

It was a few minutes later.

We were done.

"Well done you 3. Go put your puppets and sit down." The teacher said.

We put our puppets in the box and sat down.

It was an hour later.

The bell rang.

Everyone stood up and left the classroom.

"What do youse have?" Beth asked.

"Cooking," I said.

"Art," Mack said.

"I have woodwork. Mary do you want me to show you to cooking?" She asked.

"Yes," I replied, smiling.

She smiled.

"Come on then." She said.

Mack smiled.

"I'll go to art." He said, smiling.

He turned around and walked away. We started walking.

It was 12 seconds later.

We arrived.

She opened the door for me. I thanked her.

"Can I have a hug, please?" She asked.

"Sure," I said, smiling.

She smiled, and we hugged. I let go and walked into class. I heard the door close behind me, and I sat down.

"Today, class, we'll be cooking roast chicken. Grab the ingredients on the table and get cooking, " the teacher said.

Everyone stood up and walked to the table. I grabbed the ingredients and walked to an empty kitchen. I started cooking.

It was 45 minutes later.

I was done.

I grabbed my plate with the roast chicken on it, sat at a table, and started eating.

It was fucking amazing.

It was 25 minutes later.

The bell rang.

Everyone stood up and left the classroom. I walked to the front of the school where the gang were.

They were at a tree.

We greeted each other.

"Before we go, I'm going to let my mums know that we're going to the park so they don't have to pick me up," I said.

"Isn't that their car there?" Beth asked as she pointed at something.

I looked at where she was pointing, and it was their car.

"Yeah, it is. Be back." I said.

I walked up to the car.

"Hey, my friends and I are going to the park," I said.

"Yeah, that's cool." My mum said, smiling.

"Have fun." Mother said, smiling.

"I will," I said, smiling.

We all said bye to each other, and I walked away.

"Ok, we can go now," I said.

"We'll walk there. It's a short walk. Maybe like 5 minutes." Mack said.

"Fuck." Beth yelled.

We laughed.

"I agree with Beth." Big Paul said.

We laughed some more. We started walking towards the park.

It was 5 minutes later.

We arrived.

"PLAYGROUND! WE MUST PLAY ON IT!" Beth yelled excitedly.

She walked toward the swing and sat down on it. She started swinging. Leah and Mack were on the seesaw. John and Big Paul were going down the slide together.

"Hey Mary, come join me," Beth said.

I sat down on the swing next to her and started swinging.

It was a couple of minutes later.

"Hey, everyone, watch this," Beth said.

I stopped swinging and looked at her. The gang walked up and watched her. She jumped off the swing, and instead of landing on her feet, she landed on her torso.

"You alright?" I asked, concerned.

"I'm good." She said as she stood up. "Wanna go down the slide together, Mary?"

"Sure," I replied.

She smiled. I climbed the ladder 1st, and she followed me. I sat down on the edge of the slide, and she sat down behind me. Beth wrapped her arms around me.

I'm enjoying this.

We slid down the slide.

"That was fun," I said, smiling.

"Sure was, mate." She replied.

We stood up.

It was 12 minutes later.

"Hey Mary, can I talk to you alone, please?" Mack asked.

"Sure," I said.

We walked to the playground's edge where no 1 would hear us.

"It's obvious that Beth has feelings for you." He said quietly.

"You sure?" I asked quietly.

"Positive. Every time she sees you, she smiles. She always wants to sit next to you. Do you have feelings for her?" He asked quietly.

I thought deeply.

I have butterflies in my stomach every time I think about and see her. And I think about her almost all the time.

"I do," I said quietly.

"Well, I think you should tell her. She's probably too pussy to ask you out. And that's cause she asked our several ladies before, but they all rejected her, so she probably doesn't wanna get hurt again." He said quietly.

"Oh, poor Beth. Yeah, I'll ask her out this weekend. I'll try to see if I can come over to hers." I said quietly.

"Good. I hope it goes well." He said quietly.

"Same," I replied quietly.

"Well, we should head back to the group now," Mack said quietly.

"Yeah, we should," I said quietly.

We walked back to the group.
