It was a day later.

Beth and I were at our campsite.

It was just the 2 of us because we wanted to spend the entire weekend alone.

We were sitting on our chairs, roasting our marshmallows with a stick.

"I had a German shepherd named Cookie when I was a kid. She was such a good girl, very obedient, and quite smart. But she died from old age. My mums and I want another dog," I said, smiling, remembering my unforgettable memories with Cookie.

"What breed do you want?" Beth asked.

"Husky," I said.

"Cool. Can you tell me some stories about Cookie, please?" She asked.

"Sure. But 1st I'mma eat this marshmallow." I said.

I ate it.

"All done. 1 night when I was 8, a person broke into our house. Cookie woke us up by barking aggressively. We walked out of our rooms, and we saw Cookie biting her ass. Cookie let go, and she bolted out of the house, and she was chasing after her." I said.

Beth laughed.

We spent the next few hours eating marshmallows and talking about Cookie.

It was 6 hours later.

We spent the time reading, talking, and on our phones.

We got tired, so we headed into our tent.

We lay down on our sleeping bags.

"Cold," I said.

She moved closer to me and wrapped her warm arms around me.

She kissed my head, and I smiled. We both said I love you, and good night. I closed my eyes.

Eventually, I drifted off to sleep.
