Chapter 13 I Meeting the Parents

It was a Wednesday.

I woke up to the smell of bacon.

I got out of bed.

My blankets made a light thud sound as they landed on the shaggy carpet. I stumbled towards the dining room letting the scent of bacon lead me.

I walked into the kitchen to see bacon and 3 plates on the table and my mum sitting down eating while mother stood behind her.

"The legends are true. The smell of bacon wakes you up." My mum cheekily said smiling.

Mother and I laughed.

"I was just about to wake you." Mother said.

I sat down on the chair and stacked some bacon on a plate. I started devouring it.

It was 3 minutes later.

I was done.

I stood up and pushed my chair in. I grabbed my plate and put it in the dishwasher.

"Ima go get ready," I said.

I walked into the bathroom and did my morning routine.

Once I was done I went back to my room.

I grabbed out my black t-shirt black socks black sneakers black underwear and bra from my closet.

I put them on my bed and got dressed.

I was almost ready.

All I needed was my bag phone and wallet.

I grabbed my bag that was hanging on the doorknob and put it on my bed. I unzipped it. I grabbed my phone and wallet that was on the nightstand and put them in my bag. I zipped it up and put it on my shoulders.

I'm now ready.

I opened the door and walked into the lounge room to see my mums in there sitting on the couch snuggling while watching TV. They looked at me and smiled.

"What ready?" My mum asked.

I nodded my head.

"Let's go." She said as she stood up.

It was 10 minutes later.

We arrived at school.

I hopped out of the car and waved at my mums. They waved back and drove off. I headed towards school.

I walked inside the building to see Beth walking to her locker.

I just thought of something amazing that I should ask her.

I walked up to her and poked her back. She stopped walking and turned around. We greeted each other.

"Babe, do you want to meet my mums? And then after I could meet your parents." I said smiling.

"I love the idea and would meet your mums. Although I only have a mum. My dad rudely ditched us when I was 10. She's been a single mum ever since. She's my idol. She's very brave and strong and doesn't need no man in her life and she's always there when needed." She said smiling.

"How dare ur dad abandon you," I said.

"Yeah, how dare he. I'm gonna go to my locker do you want to come?"She asked smiling.

"Sure I'd love to," I replied smiling.

We started walking towards her locker hand in hand.

"You'd probably love my mums they're both pretty cool," I said smiling.

"You'd probably love mine too." She replied.

It was 23 seconds later.

We arrived at her locker.
