Chapter 34 I Back to School

It was the 1st day back to school.

I woke up to my obnoxious alarm.

I groaned, then turned it off. I rolled onto my back and stretched as I yawned. I got out of bed.

I smelled bacon.

I scurried into the dining room to see my mums putting bacon and eggs on the table. I sat down and they sat down too. We started to dig in.

Once I was done, I sat up and grabbed my plate. I walked into the kitchen and put it down in the dishwasher. 

I walked into the bathroom, showered, and brushed my teeth.

I walked out, entered my room, and closed the door.

I grabbed my black T-shirt, leather jacket, skinny ripped jeans, boots, beanie, socks, black boy shorts, and sports bra from my closet.

I put them on my bed and got dressed.

I grabbed my wallet and phone from my nightstand and put them in my pocket. I grabbed my bag from my doorknob and put it on my shoulders.

I'm now ready. 

I left my room and entered the lounge room to see my mums sitting on the couch, snuggling while watching TV. I hugged them goodbye and left the house. I grabbed my phone and texted Beth.

Me: I'm ready.

Beth: I'm on my way

I closed my messages app, opened Subway Surfers, and started playing it while waiting for Beth to come pick me up.

It was 12 minutes later.

I heard a car pull up.

I looked up to see Beth's car. I put my phone back in my pocket and hopped in. We greeted each other, and she started driving.

It was 13 minutes later.

We arrived at school.

Beth parked her car in an empty spot, and we hopped out and started walking towards school.

I opened the door for Beth, and she thanked me as she walked past.

We reached our lockers.

"Babe, there's something I gotta do," I said, smiling.

"What is it?" She asked, smiling.

I walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her. She did the same. I kissed her on the head.

We embraced for what felt like an eternity.

I let go.

"I'm not done yet," I said, smiling.

I kissed her as I wrapped my arms around her neck, and she wrapped hers around my back.

We let go.

"I really hate school, but I'm glad I'm here with you," I said, smiling.

"That's so sweet, babe." She said, smiling.

The bell rang.

"Well, time to speed run, grabbing our shit and then heading to English," Beth said, smiling.

We quickly grabbed our books and headed for English.

It was a minute later.

We arrived.

We walked in and sat down in the middle row.

The teacher started.

I could tell many students didn't want to be here and would much rather stay home.

It was 2 hours later.

We had recess.

The gang was in the cafeteria eating.

"What do you guys get up to this holidays?" John asked.

"Beth and I mostly spent the time at her house going out and staying in, snuggling and talking," I said, smiling.

"I just stayed home playing games, and on rare occasions, I would go outside for 10 minutes and then continue playing games. At 1 point, my mum got annoyed cause I stayed indoors, so she forced me to go outside, so I grabbed my switch and played games outside." Mack said.

"Relatable. I've been learning how to do tap dancing." Big John said.

The entire gang, except for Leah, congratulated him.

"I got up to some mischief. In games." John said.

"I gotta say, boy, do I wish I was at home instead of being in hell." Big John said.

Again, the entire gang agreed, except for Leah.
