Throughout the month, everything has been going smoothly, and work has been progressing perfectly. Thoughts of Aarohi were coming to my mind and I got to know she went for her home because of some personal reasons. I don't know why but some part of my heart wants her around me even though I know this is not possible and it's just an attraction but still.

Later that same night, I was busy sorting through files, organizing paperwork, and engrossing myself in the work when a knock disturbed me, looking at the time, it was 10 pm and everyone left the office, I knew who this could be and without waiting for the response the person behind the doors and knocks appears. "I knew you were here that's why I directly came without telling you." he said.

"As if you knew, so you would inform me prior about your plans." I said without looking at him.

"Now, you know so much about me so why would I tell you." He said mischievously.

"Of course, Mr. Eklavya Maheshwari. So, now if you are here may I get to know the reason for your for arrival."

I said standing up and walking past my table, opened the bottle of whiskey, poured it into the glasses, and gave him.

We both sat on the sofa in my cabin and he started explaining the reason behind his arrival.

Me and Ekalavya have been best friends since childhood. Our fathers were business partners, and we grew up together. We share a lot of memories and have always been there for each other through thick and thin. Our friendship is built on trust, loyalty, and understanding. We have each other's backs no matter what, and I'm grateful to have Ekalavya as my best friend.

"You remember Rikshit from our college days." He started saying.

Not understanding what he is saying, "No, I don't remember clearly." I stated

"Oh, The Rikshit always clings to you for money and says stupid things behind your back when you refuse to give him money. Then he starts spreading fake rumors about you throughout the whole college." He explained.

Then I remembered who is he talking about. " Yeah, now I remember. So, what about him?" I said without giving much attention as I really don't care about fake people and people who are not related to me.

"He is getting engaged, and guess what tomorrow!" He said shockingly.

"So what?" I said uninterested in it.

"Like how can a person like him get engaged, like think about the girls, how misfortunate this is for her."

"Yeah, I know. But what can we do about this, that's none of our business, and how do you know about this?" I asked.
