Aarohi…
The rest of the week flew by blissfully as Rudra and I spent a lot of time together, cherishing every moment. I've been staying at Rudra's place, enveloped in this newfound feeling of love that makes me feel whole and complete.
The project is nearly done; only the data transfer and final submissions are left. Rudra has been busy at the office, often working late, but he always makes sure to have dinner with me, no matter how late he comes home. I understand his dedication to his work and admire him for it.
Lately, I've started cooking dinner for us, with Madhu Aunty often helping me in the kitchen. Our dinners have become a cherished time for us to connect, talking about our days, our lives, and everything in between. Being in a relationship with Rudra feels like a dream come true. He makes me feel so special, always caring for me, and ensuring I have my meals on time and get enough rest.
Despite his long hours, Rudra is incredibly attentive. He often works late into the night in his study because of the project, and sometimes, I bring him a cup of coffee. I love those quiet moments when I watch him work, so focused and engrossed. He looks so handsome, so intent on what he's doing. Even though he tells me not to trouble myself with these little things, I enjoy doing them for him. After all, he's my boyfriend, and seeing him happy makes me happy.
Even though I haven't made up my mind about joining his company yet, I've discussed it with him, and he completely understands my hesitation. He assured me that there was no rush to make a decision. After all, my company is like a small branch of his, so transitioning wouldn't be too challenging. I think it would be best to wait until this current project is completed before making any big decisions.
Two days from now is the much-anticipated launching party for the new AI technology, and today, I'm preparing breakfast for Rudra and me. I've taken to making breakfast as well, enjoying the quiet moments of the morning as I set the table. As I place the last plate down, my eyes drift to the clock. It's already 8:45 a.m.
"Rudra is late today," I murmured to myself, feeling a twinge of concern. But just then, Rudra walked into the kitchen. Something seemed off. His usual vibrant energy was missing. He looked pale and unsteady.
"Good morning," I greeted him warmly, hoping to lift his spirits.
"Morning," he replied with a weak smile, his voice lacking its usual cheer.
I frowned, noticing his tired eyes and the sheen of sweat on his forehead. "You don't look good," I said, stepping closer. "Are you alright? Do you have a fever?"
"No, it's nothing," he mumbled, trying to brush off my concern. "Maybe just some weakness."
But his appearance didn’t match his words. His eyes were bloodshot, and he was clearly sweating. Ignoring his dismissal, I reached out and placed a hand on his forehead. "Rudra, you have a high fever," I said, feeling the alarming heat radiating from his skin. "This isn’t just weakness."
