Aarohi

As the car speed through the quiet, bright sunshine, I glanced at Mr. Singhania, who was focused on the road ahead. We were on our way to his house, a decision he had made firmly despite my many attempts to convince him otherwise.

"Really, Mr. Singhania, you don't have to go through all this trouble," I had said earlier, trying to sound confident. "I'll be fine on my own."

He had simply shaken his head, his eyes soft yet resolute. "I can't let you stay alone, it's not safe, and you don't have any friends or family here. You'll stay in my house until you get fully recovered."

I sighed, leaning back against the plush seat and watching the blue sky, trees, and buildings pass by.

The truth was, I felt a strange mix of relief and apprehension. I got sick and hospitalized, and now I am not in a condition to take care of myself. I hadn't managed to make any friends. My work kept me busy, but the evenings were long and lonely. Now they are even more haunted.

Mr. Singhania's kind nature was very new to me, I never knew this side of him existed. He had always been a rude, ruthless, perfectionist boss, and now he was extending his generosity even further. Yet, a part of me felt guilty for imposing myself on him.

"Thank you," I murmured, breaking the silence. "I really appreciate it."

He smiled briefly, his eyes still on the road. "It's no trouble at all. I live alone and there will be plenty of rooms and people to take care of you so that you can recovered soon and continue to work."

The thought of living with him made me so nervous, but according to him it will help me to recover soon and his work will also continue. I also didn’t want to become a hurdle in his work and wanted to pay back his favor for doing so many things so, I agreed and thought to get recovered soon and sort all his work first and then my life.

As we pulled into the driveway of his beautiful mansion, I couldn't help but marvel at its grandeur.

Calling it a house would be an understatement; it was an expansive, palatial residence that exuded elegance and sophistication. The sprawling lawn was impeccably manicured, with flower beds bursting with vibrant colors, and a majestic fountain stood proudly at the center of the circular driveway.

The mansion itself was a stunning blend of modern architecture and classic charm, with large, arched windows that glowed warmly from the inside.

The exterior was adorned with intricate stonework and towering columns that added to its stately appearance. As we approached, I noticed the details—the wrought-iron balconies, the ornate carvings on the doors, and the soft lighting that highlighted the beauty of the structure.

Someone came to receive us, I stepped out of the car and an old aunty in her 50s came to help me. “ Hello my child, are you alright?” She asked with a bright and gentle smile. I nodded. Mr. Singhania already went inside leaving me with other people in the living area.
