"What? No!" I mildly cringed at the sound of my sister's vehemently disapproving tone, her gaze wide and disbelieving as she stared between the four of us.

"Uh-uh, nope. You're not going anywhere. Not without me, man," she shook her head with denial.

"I'm not gonna sit around all these supernatural bitches all by myself!" she threw her arms around for emphasis, keeping that panicked and disbelieving expression plastered over her face.

Nice, sis. Way to talk.

"Well, there are going to be even more "supernatural bitches" where we're going," Nathan butted in to tell her with a hint of annoyance laced in his tone, throwing her a bored look.

He was irritated with her. Maybe he was trying not to show it but he definitely didn't like the way she just called them. And to be honest, neither did I. Hell, we were some of those supernatural bitches for crying out loud!

Oh crap! I totally forgot about that! She doesn't even know that we're not human either! I'll have to tell her at some point! And I could only imagine how fun that was going to be.

"I don't care, man! I'm not staying here by myself!" She retorted, already starting to sound like an annoying brat.

What did I just say? Fun as hell!

"Very well. Then I will tell Estefany to come by and pick you up tomorrow evening," Nathan's comeback sounded so smooth and collected, his words however managing to deflate her so quickly.

Oh wow. Touché, dude.

She stared back at him with utter disbelief, obviously debating what to tell him next but he quickly added his argument,
"You can't ride with us, unless you wanna stay in the back shoved between Jess and David,"

And judging by the look on her face at the sound of that, she really didn't. Not when David was already looking at her like he wanted to obliterate her with his mere gaze. Damn. Sweet guy or not, he obviously didn't want anyone standing between him and Jess.
I swear, these guys are freaking savage when it comes to their mates.

"You can ride with Estefany and the girls. She knows the way and she'll keep you safe when you enter the pack grounds. You are not bearing her mark yet and if you try to enter our territory by yourself you'll risk getting hurt or even worse," Nathan continued to explain with that calm and smooth tone of his, however leaving no room for her to keep arguing.

Shit. He really knew how to handle her, bratty sis or not. Just a few words and he already had her trapped exactly where he wanted her to be; forced to choose between staying home or having to spend god-knows how many hours sitting right next to her girlfriend. They had to talk at some point. Maybe they could even sort their shit out. I wanted her to do just that. I didn't like seeing her suffering like this because even if she kinda liked to pretend that she didn't care, I could see that she did. Very much so. She was missing Estefany, no matter how much she tried to deny it. I could see it in her eyes. In her sad and miserable look.

Oh my god you're a genius, I wanted to say to Nathan, noticing that side smirk discreetly tugging up at the corner of his mouth as he continued to pointedly look at my sister, clearly having read my mind.
I lightly shoved at him with my elbow and rolled my eyes, feigning annoyance even though on the inside I was already smiling.

"So? What's it gonna be? Are you staying home or are you gonna ride with Estefany?" He raised one brow, evidently already knowing that he'd won as we could notice that defeated look on Dre's face, her gaze lowering to the ground.
It actually pained me to see her like this, but I knew that it was for the best. She needed to talk it through with Estefany, and sort it all out. Maybe she didn't see it now but it was definitely better, for the both of them.

"Everything's gonna be okay, you'll see. We're one car ahead if you need anything, okay?"

She quickly nodded and I dove back in for another hug, tightly wrapping my arms around her.

"I'm only one text away, okay?" Her chin mildly pushed against my shoulder, making me realize that she'd nodded again and I pulled back, offering her a sympathetic smile.

We were all in our driveway and everybody was already waiting so that we could climb in the cars and finally start our twelve-hour drive, my head already hurting at the thought of that. Yeesh.

Jess was standing right next to me, waiting for her turn to give Dre a goodbye hug, her features displaying a sweet smile as I stepped aside and let her do it.

"Be safe, okay?"

My gaze stealthily trailed to Estefany, noticing that genuine anxiousness and excitement glinting in her sparkly eyes as she casually stared between us whilst patiently waiting, constantly trailing her gaze right back to Dre.
She wanted to be close to her and she could barely wait. I could see that now. She was in love with my sister. I could see it in her very eyes. The way she looked at her and those tiny signs of agitation her body gave away, pointing towards that one certain fact. She couldn't bear to stay away from her any longer. She craved for her closeness.

I lightly smiled at the sight of that, secretly feeling so happy for my sister.
Maybe I hadn't been Estefany's biggest fan -given our past encounters- but now, all that didn't matter anymore. What actually mattered was that she loved my sister, and my sister loved her.

"Aww, turning soft already?" My gaze almost narrowed at the sound of those words echoing in my head, feeling Nathan's body right behind my own before he planted a kiss over the top of my head.

"Shut up."

"Alright people, let's get going. We have a long drive ahead of us and I really wanna make it home before dinner,"

The wolfy girls giggled and let out a few whooping sounds in response to Nathan's words, making me frown with curiosity.
Why did they seem so excited about that?

However, they all quickly complied and rushed to get in the cars, my eyes widening with surprise as I suddenly noticed Estefany walking straight towards me with a determined look on her face.
And before I could even realize what was going on she'd already pulled me into a tight embrace, making me freeze and stand there like a damn plank.
I couldn't help but notice how freakishly hard and strong her body felt against mine, making me feel so small and weak between her arms.
Holy shit! She could put a guy to shame with those muscles!

"Thank you. I am forever indebted to you, Luna," she softly whispered in my hair, making my eyes go wide again with surprise.

"Okay, you can stop touching my mate now," I frowned at the sound of Nathan's rather firm tone, watching her pull back and make a funny face at him before she turned around and left, making me giggle.

"Oh, you think that's funny huh?" I turned around to face him and shook my head, eyes widening as I watched him fixating me with that smouldering gaze of his.
And before I could even stop myself I was already running away from him, letting out a frightened shriek as soon as I turned to look over my shoulder, noticing that he was right behind.
