The stupid sound of an alarm ringing had me jolting awake as if I'd just been electrocuted, my heart pounding with a vengeance as my eyes snapped open, trying to figure out what the hell happened and where I was as I laid there for a moment.

I could feel movement from right next to me, my head turning with curiosity only to notice that bare and very muscular back before the owner abruptly turned around, giving me a very generous and up-close view of that chiseled and equally bare chest.

I didn't need to look up to know exactly who was lying right next to me as I could already feel his familiar and alluring scent, my gaze timidly rising up to meet those vivid green eyes.

"Good morning, little sunshine," His naturally pink lips expressed one of those sexy smiles of his, making my heart flutter and my panties dampen a little as all those sexual dreams I've had of him started playing in my head, making me feel so uncomfortably warm.

I only groaned in response and turned my back to him, already feeling so goddamn frustrated.

"Oh God, please take me now," I mumbled with annoyance under my breath, hearing his mild chuckle before his arms snuck around me, his hot breath tickling the shell of my ear as he whispered,
"I'm afraid God will have to wait. We have to go to school now,"

I forced myself to ignore that shiver that wracked throughout my body and let out a complaining whine in reply, burying my face in the pillow.

"Just go away,"

"I can't. This is my house, remember?"

Right.

"Why am I here anyway? Why didn't you just take me home last night?" My words came out a little muffled as I spoke with my face still buried in that pillow, feeling him shuffle right before he came up with the stupidest explanation,

"Let's just say that I liked your song about wieners a little too much and I wanted to hear it to the very end,"

I suddenly shot up from that pillow, instantly regretting it as a strong wave of pain hit my head, making me groan again.

"You didn't finish it by the way. You passed out in the car before I could hear that marvellous end,"

I turned around and shot him an annoyed glare, watching him give me one of those stupid smirks of his and a wink before he disappeared into his walk-in closet, quickly coming back out with a t-shirt on.

"Come on. I'll make a cup of coffee for you head,"

I kept that annoyed scowl plastered on my face but got up and followed him anyway, angrily staring at the back of his head as we exited into the hallway, secretly planning ways to murder him when the outline of another person coming from the opposite direction abruptly drew my attention, my head tilting just in time to notice Jess approaching us.

"Hey, dude. What are you doing here?" I stepped out from behind Nathan, only now noticing that generally tired and sad look creasing her features, her dark blue eyes a little lifeless as she peered back at me.

"She was too tired to go home so I let her crash here too," Nathan simply answered from right next to me, noticing the way Jess' gaze shot up to him with a little bit of surprise glinting in them before I turned to look at him too, watching him express a careless shrug.

"Coffee anyone?" He displayed an award-winning smile as he looked between us, not even bothering to check if we were following him as he resumed to his joyous walking to the kitchen.

"Well aren't you a ray of sunshine," I groggily mumbled, lightly shaking my head as we followed him.

What the hell got into him? Why was he so...disgustingly happy?

I peered at Jess with wonder, receiving a clueless shrug from her as we trailed after him.

I watched him busy himself with preparing our coffees as we took a seat by the kitchen island, my head still pounding like hell as a result from yesterday's drinking.

"Oh my god, I swear I'm never having gin again," I groaned and let out a tired yawn, hearing Jess let out an amused snort from right next to me.

"Haven't I heard that before," She mused out loud, making me throw her a nasty look.

She only giggled in response and I gave her a mild shove, making her let out another giggle.

"Hey where's David? Wasn't he with us last night?" My brows furrowed, curiously peering between them as Nathan placed the coffee mugs on the island.

Neither of them said anything for a moment, Jess' cheeks oddly filling with colour whilst Nathan's relaxed expression abruptly sobered up into a more serious one, his tone equally somber as he explained,

"He wasn't...really feeling himself last night so he went home to...cool down,"

Ookay...?

I cluelessly looked between them again, intrigued by their sudden weird behavior but decided to just let it go, for now, as I could notice that for some reason, it was making Jess visibly uncomfortable.

We made a quick stop to my place on our way to school as we were in dire need of a change of clothes and my house was actually closer to our school than Jess', not to mention that we wore same sizes anyway, Nathan choosing to just wait for us in the driveway as we went in.

"Hello?" I absently called out as we rushed inside, as expected, receiving no response as we made our way upstairs to my room.

"I swear, this house is always fucking empty," I casually said, mostly to myself with a mild shake of my head as we ran to my walk-in closet and started rummaging for something decent to wear as fast as possible as we had such little time on our hands.

I picked another pleated skirt and a random shirt whilst she opted for a pair of short denim overalls and a t-shirt, both changing out of our yesterday's clothes at the speed of lightning as we didn't want to be late again.
Not after missing almost half of our classes yesterday.

So we got ready, making ourselves look as presentable as possible before rushing back out to Nathan, noticing the way he rather attentively looked me over before getting back in the car.

"What?" I breathlessly said after climbing in the front passenger seat as Jess hopped in the back, watching him turn his head to give me a puzzled look at the sound of that.

"What what?"

"You looked at me funny after I got out of the house earlier," I explained the reason behind my question as he turned on the engine and backed out of the driveway.

"Do you...not approve of my outfit or...?" I curiously asked, brow raised as I looked at him in expectance.

"I can't answer to that right now," He simply said, making me frown.

"Why not?"

"Because it will make Jessica blush again, or possibly die of mortification," He casually explained as he drove, keeping his eyes on the road as I stared back at him with disbelief, mouth agape as I wasn't even sure how to react.

What the f...

"And then we'll have to explain to David the stupid reason why his mate is dead," He continued talking, lightly shaking his head with disapproval as he did so.

"Because you're too damn curious for your own good," He turned to throw me a wink and a side smirk, making my face grow hot as I could only imagine what was going through that nasty mind of his.

Fucking pervert.

"Oh, but I know that you actually love that, sweetheart. You want my perverted little-"

"Shut up!" I screamed out loud before he could even try and finish that sentence, my blood rushing to my ears from all that anger and frustration.

"Just shut the hell up. And stay out of my fucking head! God! Why the hell did I even bother asking?" I muttered with exasperation, mostly to myself as I dragged a hand over my face.

"I told you why. You're just too damn curious for your own good,"
