"HEY MANON?"
She looked up from texting Sam to see Taylor, biting on her nails. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"I've been thinking about something," Taylor began carefully. "You know how I'm announcing my new album soon? When it's finished?"
Manon smiled, nodding. "Yeah, it's going great."
"Almost as great as Enchanted is gonna be when you release it and show me?"
"Shut up."
Taylor laughed. "Well, I've been thinking. I haven't been on tour since 2018 for Rep."
"We all know that, Tay. Fans are mad, but honestly, do your own thing."
"What if I did it again," Taylor blurted. "But with everything. Every album I've released. Past and present, Midnights too."
Manon's jaw dropped. "You're actually-?"
"My fans are my life, Manon. You know it, you saw it when you went tour with me for Red. When you went on tour yourself, you know, for Love is Fake."
"But every single one? Taylor, that's like...wow. A world tour?"
"Yeah. What do you think?"
Manon went silent. While it was crazy and would exhaust Taylor, she knew how much the fans meant to her friend. How fulfilling a tour felt. Taylor was right, going on tour for Love is Fake was the best thing. Well...next to her collaboration with the two idiots who became her bestest friends. She leant her head against the couch. "If you do it, when will you start?"
"Not this year, or the next. Midnights needs to drop first. 2023?"
"If you think you can handle it, go for it," Manon told her. "It would be long, you know."
Taylor's jaw dropped. "I'm not singing every single song, Manon! I was thinking like forty, fifty? That would be three hours."
"Ask Tree. She'll know better than I would. And if she says yes, Taylor Allison, don't you dare do anything bad to your physical health."
Taylor laughed. "I won't. I swear. On my life, on Joe's."
"Yeah, because he'll help me kill you," Manon chirped happily. "Now go talk to your Paine."
"Yes ma'am!"
"A three hour tour?"
"Jesus, Sam!" Manon gasped, whipping around to see the blond behind her.
Sam and Colby stood in the doorway to the apartment, staring at Taylor in disbelief.
The 31-year-old was just relaying her plans to Gracie, Madeleine, Hayden and Aurelie when they walked in.
"Hi," Sam waved sheepishly. Manon laughed, walking over and hugging him. "Only a few days until Enchanted, Manon."
"I know," she smiled, embracing tighter and then turning to Colby. "What brings you two here?"
"We got a text from Hayden saying you lot were mothering the mother of the group," Colby shrugged.
"You said what?" Madeleine hit his arm.
"I'm sorry, hang on," he pointed to Taylor. "She's thirty one. You're twenty three. Gracie's twenty one. Aurie's twenty two. And Manon, she's twenty four. We're all in our twenties, mothering the oldest here."
"Anyway, back to the conversation. Three hours?" Colby raised his eyebrows at Taylor.
"Yeah, I'd call it the 'Eras Tour'! I mean, the fans say each of my albums were like their eras of me. I really want to do it, Tree gave me the all clear."
"How do you like...organise?" Sam asked, having never experienced a music tour before.
"I think it's similar to the one you two did. You contact stadiums, talk to managers and publicists...that's what you did, right?"
"Pretty much," Sam shrugged. "So yours isn't much different, but you sing for three hours straight."
"Exactly! I'll announce it probably late next year, I need to announce and release Midnights first."
"I'll be coming," Colby grinned. "It sounds sick."
"That's right!" Taylor looked to Manon and Gracie. "Can you two open?"
"Of course we can!" They high fived.
"I can get it organised!"
"And all before 2022," Madeleine laughed, a smile gracing her features. "Oh this'll be awesome."
"Very awesome," Aurelie agreed. The whole group put their hands into the middle of where they were. Sam and Colby didn't at first, until Manon dragged the, over and into the circle. "The Eras Tour on three. One...two...three!"
