MANON STOOD IN HER HOME IN NORFOLK, eyes looking over the living room where Taylor, Travis, Colby, Aurelie, Maddy and Gracie all sat talking. They'd decided to go to Norfolk for the 2024 Christmas and would be going to the Sandringham the next morning.
Two arms wrapped around her from behind and she laughed. "Let me go."
"No," Sam murmured. "I don't wanna."
"Come on, we have to join the others, they're waiting."
He huffed but moved so his hand slipped into hers. They walked into the living room and took some seats on the couch, her head moving to his shoulder.
"Okay, let's start," Maddy grabbed a gift and smiled. "Manon, from Sam."
Manon took it and gave him an eyebrow at his excited face. She opened it to see a ring with the words Somebody to You engraved.
"It's a promise ring," he said softly.
Manon slid it on and pulled him in, ignoring the flash from Maddy's direction.
She loved it, she loved this...she loved them together.
"Come on slowpokes!" Manon and Sam ran outside the next morning, laughing. The morning of the Sandringham walk.
"Let's go!" Aurelie led them toward the cars.
As the group set up an area, trying to avoid being recognised, Manon noticed the royals started to walk.
Charlotte and Catherine reached them, the former recognising Manon instantly. "Manon!"
The Princess ran over and threw her arms around a sitting Manon's neck, hugging her tightly. The singer smiled, rubbing the girl's back as a way to slightly warm her up.
"Hi," Manon smiled. "How have you been, Princess?"
"Good!" Charlotte grinned. "I didn't know you were coming."
"We didn't, not until yesterday," Manon replied. She pointed to her friends one by one. "Those are my friends. Aurelie's my sister, Colby, Taylor, Travis, Gracie, Maddy and Sam."
Charlotte waved to all of them. "I have to go. Bye!"
"Bye-bye!" The group waved back.
"You did not just get recognised!" Sam shook Manon. "That was insane!"
Her smile was wide. "I knew she knew my face, but not my name!"
"Very sweet interaction," Taylor pointed behind Manon, where Prince George and Prince William were coming.
"Manon Wright!" William smiled, causing Manon's eyes to widen. She knew she was big...but this big? "How wonderful to see you!"
Sam laughed at her face. "Manon!"
"Oh! Sorry," the blonde flushed. "I didn't know you knew me."
"It's my fault!" Taylor sang behind her, causing Manon to raise an eyebrow at the older woman. "Oh don't give me that."
"Nice to meet you all," Manon slipped her hand into Sam's. "Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas!" George chimed before running off after his sister.
"Look at you getting recognised," Gracie leaned over and grinned. Manon laughed.
