"Fasten your seatbelt, are you still sleepy? You can take a nap."
I kept my eyes closed as he fastened my seatbelt, honestly, I didn't want to meet his gaze. It may seem like a shallow reason, but it felt like the most embarrassing thing that ever happened in my entire life.
"Please go straight to my office later, okay? We'll have lunch there," I just nodded while still keeping my eyes closed and leaning on the passenger seat's headrest.
"You don't have classes in the afternoon, so, would you like to come with me to the company later? I just need to sign some papers, and after that, we can head to the arena."
Out of excitement, I opened my eyes and looked at him, but my smile faded when our eyes met. Nag-init rin ang pisngi ko nang maalala ko na naman ang nangyari kagabi. Buwisit talaga! Nautot ba naman sa sarap! Pero hindi nakakatuwa kapag naaalala ko 'yon.
"What's wrong? Ayaw mo ba?"
Napaiwas ako ng tingin at muling sumandal at ibinalik ang neck pillow ko.
"Gusto," maikli kong sagot.
"Zanzea may masakit ba sa'yo?"
Napailing ako sa kanya habang nakahalukipkip.
"Tsk, any problem?"
"Wala nga, magdrive ka nalang diyan,"
"Okay, sigurado ka ha? Umidlip ka nalang muna diyan,"
When I arrived at the university, I quickly said goodbye to him and motioned for him to leave the car first.
"Bye, see you later. No one should sit beside you, okay? I'll still go there for peer observation in that darn Frederick's subject," I nodded at him, and he quickly pulled me in for a kiss.
"I love you, baby."
"I love you too, I have to go now," I said, focusing on my words.
I immediately got out of the car without waiting for him to open the door for me. When I reached the architecture department, many students were already there, and I noticed a few of them discussing Clyde's disappearance.
"Siya yung girlfriend ni Clyde diba?"
They quickly averted their gazes when I looked at them, so I just ignored it. As I was heading up the building, I coincidentally walked alongside Lauren, probably coming from the faculty. She stared at me, but I didn't acknowledge her either.
