"Maybe we shouldn't have departed with the boys." Felicity whispered to Delilah.
She was inclined to agree.
Thomas gripped her arm, "Please don't jest the woman while she tries to save our brother."
"Thomas, you are a bore to be around at such a lively event."
"Is this what you consider lively?"
Delilah turned to give the two looks before looking around to where Williamson had walked to Lady Danbury and Lady Sharma along with her two daughters before handing the three of them each a separate bouquet. Delilah had to cover Felicity's gaping mouth when Miss Edwina handed the bouquet straight to the hand-servant near her without breaking eye-contact with Williamson.
"How thoughtful of you, Lord Aevery." Lady Danbury smiled.
Felicity laughed under cough and looked out into the sky over the roofline of the building they were by. Delilah's tongue trailed over her teeth, "Please remember that before we send out invitations for our ball there must be signs that we do in fact enjoy being within each other's presence."
Felicity stepped up next to Delilah, "Yes. I do quite want to make the morning somewhat fun. Shall we, everyone?"
Delilah shook her head softly. Though Delilah had to hand it to the girl, she knew how to break awkward situations. Felicity pulled Thomas in with her to lead the group in. Delilah began to walk with the group before looking back at Williamson.
She cleared her throat to where he was inhaling the air sharply.
He looked over at her.
"Please, try to keep the civility between you and Kate on somewhat appropriate levels. Heaven forbid you teach Felicity something scandalous."
"Delilah, please do not insult me with such profanity."
"At least I do not smell the air where Anthony walks every time he passes me."
"No, you're right, you bathe in it."
