The sounds of keys clashing together made his mom turn around. Kay was walking into the hospital, looking directly at his mother with a mug.

"Kevin baby you're here." His mom said in a relieved tone, walking up to him.

"What the fuck happened?" Kay asked with his nose flared.

"Someone gave her shrimp. Her face turned red and she couldn't breathe. We took her straight over to the hospital."

"Who gave her shrimp? Ma I told you on Day 1, she's allergic."

"I know! I would never give her shrimp. We don't even eat that in the house."

"So how she got it in her system?"

She shrugged, feeling guilty. "I don't know! Kay I'm sorry. I should've been watching her more." She expressed. Kay rubbed his temple, exhaling, realizing it was his mother he was talking to. He didn't want to be disrespectful although he was irritated with almost everyone at the moment.

"Ma it's not your fault. If you said there wasn't no shrimp in the house I believe you. Who was in the house?"

"A few of your cousins. Mhady, Chris, a couple of other guys from the block, everybody else was just your sisters and family."

"You sure Bri ain't give it to her on accident?"

"Kevin. I have no shrimp in my house. The smell makes me sick. Which is why I need to know where she got it."

"Facts. Where Kimora?"

"In the room."

"Ari? How is she?" He asked.

"Honestly just like how any other mom would be."

He nodded, letting his mom know he was going to go in into the room. He walked in seeing Kimora sleeping, and Ariana watching her with blood shot eyes. Her head shot up and she got up quickly.

"Hey ma. Come here." He said opening his arms, where she practically jumped into his arms, needing a hug. and needing him. "I got here as soon as I heard." He said, embracing the girl. It was 7 am, and room was empty yet so full of bright white light. As he went to pull away, she quickly tightened her grip on him, making him kiss her forehead slowly.

"I'm so sorry Kevin. Maybe you was right, I should've just went with her to your moms. She wanted to go to your mom's cook out so bad so I let her." She said with her voice cracking. He hated seeing her in distress, it almost hurt him so much because half of the time he couldn't do nothing about it.  He pulled away from the hug, looking at her.

"Ariana this not your fault. At all..whoever gave her that shit. That's who I'm looking for." He spoke in a soothing tone, kissing her forehead again. "How is she?"

"She's good. Her epipen is at your other house, I just realized. I think we should making sure she has it around her at all times."

"Me too. This the first time she had a reaction like this?" He said, taking note of the red rings around her face.

"She had one when she was a little bit younger, but it wasn't this serious. She had her pen with her." She said stepping away from him so Kay could get closer to Kimora. Almost like it was on cue, the little girl's eyes started to flutter open. Her eyes landed on her dad first, making her rub her eyes, testing if her eyes were deceiving her.

"Daddy!" Kimora screamed, almost jumping out of bed, wrapping her arms around his neck, hugging him.

"Wassup princess." He couldn't help but smile even in the situation they were in. "How you feeling?"
