PART 34: NOT GIVING UP ON YOU

AMELIA'S POV

I was so scared to lose Chris reading this note gave me so much pain and made me cry over and over again. He doesn't want me to follow him but I just want to...he can't just walk out on me just like that. It's not fair and not right at all. Chris hasn't texted, called or even bothered to do something just to know his safe. I felt so sad reading this all we ever used to do is argue and fight we did have some good memories but...mainly it was toxic. I sat down on the bed for a couple of minutes thinking what I should do or what must I do.

I couldn't even think straight still trying to recover from my friend's death. I can't give up on him I just can't I will not do it even though we didn't have end things in a good way, I want to help him. I left the apartment and I just stopped to think who to call now normally in this situation, I would call my best friend but she's gone now.

I have to do something that I'd regret but it's possibly the only way it can help me I know this is a bad idea but there's no other option. I called Tony which was and is going to be the biggest mistake I could ever make but I have nobody else. My parents are gone, my brother's gone and my best friend. Even Chris is gone I do somewhat understand his doing this for my benefit and he wants to just protect me...but where's he when I need him the most?

As the phone rang and somebody picked it up as I put the phone closer to my ear.

"Hello?" I speak

"Amelia is that you?" he says

"I need your help." I say coldly

"Okay sure..." he says softly

"I will text you the place for you to meet me." I say over the phone

I hung up the phone and the next day we met I greet him as he nods is head and we sit down on the couch.

"I need your help please...my friend disappeared and now I need to find him..." I say

"So we are now friends exactly?" he says with a smile

"No...Don't think that this is back to normal and that I'll forgive you and everything is fine, I still hate you." I state

"Here there is note he left me read it." I say giving him the note

He takes the note from my hand and starts reading it as he just burst out laughing for no reason as he just keeps on reading.

"This is a joke right?" he says laughing

"Why are you laughing do you think this is funny? Listen, I just lost my best friend she died right in front of me my friend is gone, I got injected and woke up in some apartment which clearly, I can't even find my friend who is probably going to die soon. And you don't give a care in the world do you!" I shout making his facial expression completely change

"Listen Amelia...I know I did some terrible things to you and I'm sorry, I don't know if you'll ever forgive me. I've changed a lot over the past few years now and I don't know if you can see it but, I really am sorry. I'll help you if it's the least I can do." he says sternly

"Okay." I nod my head

"Where do you think he'll be heading?" he questions

"I'm not exactly sure." I say

"Okay...tell me more about this person." he says calmly

"His going to be my husband..." I say looking at me

"Mhmm." he chuckles

"What did I say something wrong?" I say confused

"No...I'm happy for you." he says smiling
