PART 47: INNER PEACE

AMELIA'S POV

"Thank you for giving me a chance Amelia..." he says looking over at me

"Of course Chris we've both been through so much recently, it's just so terrible but we managed...and I know for a fact, we will get through this." I tell him

"Okay then..." he says sighing

I know his worried that upset that Megan. Her crashing the funeral and creating a scene for no reason. It was so inconsiderate of her to do something like that. All that I'm happy about is the fact that I have Chris now and that there are still friends that are alive from both of us. In this time, I just miss my brother a lot recently, I never told Chris that I did or that I still do because then his going to be worried. I don't want him to worry about me.

We all have so much to be going through right now I just don't want to make it extra and more of a bigger problem. The rest of the night we both went to sleep and were completely tired on what happened today.

The next morning, I woke up and rubbed my eyes as I yawned and stretched myself. I heard some noises coming from the kitchen and the smell of bacon and eggs. I got up from the bed and walked downstairs rubbing my eyes and still yawning. Then I saw Chris making eggs he was wearing a black sweater and white pants with a towel on his shoulder.

He then put the food onto the plate as he served me while I was sitting at the table. We both sat down, and began eating our food.

"What are we going to do today?" he smiles while eating his food

"You don't have to keep acting Chris." I say looking at him

"What do you mean?" he says confused

"You know exactly what I mean." I say tell him

"I have you now....that's all that matters." he heavily sighs

"Saying that isn't going to change anything." I tell him

"Fine. I'm going to take a walk." he says forcefully getting up from his chair as he grabs his coat from the hanger and leaves

"Chris..." I began to say before he leaves

"What?" he snaps

I just look at him not saying a word as he then pulls me closer in for a hug. I just pause for a second as I realize what he just did. As I hugged him back tightly not wanting to let go of him also.

"I...I'm sorry I didn't mean to...talk to you like that Amelia." he stumbles to say

"It's alright I understand...how about we go somewhere I know a place." I began to say

"Where?" he questions

"It's a surprise come." I say taking his hand as we leave the house

We got into the car as I drove to the destination I didn't tell him where we were going but it was going to be a surprise. Before we got there I had told him to put a blindfold on so he doesn't know what the surprise is going to be.

"Are we there yet?" Chris chuckles

"No, have patience we're almost there." I say smiling

"Okay." he says nodding his head

We finally get there as I hold him out of the car and walk in front of the house. I then remove the blindfold from his face as he just looks surprised and happy.

"Wow...I remember this? We had...supposed to go on this honeymoon trip for the weekend but I remember it was cancelled because what happened. We didn't have the chance to have this or even show you this...? How did you find out?" he says looking at me curiously

"I have my ways." I say
