PART 27: THE LAST RESORT

I finally had as sense of relief that those teens are finally out of here and they're gone for good. The next thing I had to do for the day was go with Matt to go fishing since I hadn't done that in a long time. I missed spending time with my friends, they all make things much better and easier. The day went by and it was already the afternoon as Matt came to sit by me and we had a few drinks and went fishing before we were about to leave to go home finally.

When we were done, we headed back to our watchtowers and began packing. There was going to be a helicopter to come pick us up since we were in the middle of nowhere and there's no signal out in this woods. We all got our things and we were headed to leave out and so we did we enjoyed this summer holiday camping it was a perfect idea for all of us.

We got back home only the night since there was a delay in the timing so we got home only past midnight. Amelia looked very tired as I took our backpacks and went to unpack upstairs, she seemed very hungry. When I was done there I asked her what she would like for dinner.

"Amelia...what would you like for dinner? Do you want me to make something for you? Or do you prefer ordering something? It's your choice." I say standing next to the bed

"It doesn't matter...we can order something." she says smiling

"Yeah...I prefer that because we both know I can't cook." I say laughing

"True." Amelia says laughing also

"So...what do you want to order? McDonalds, KFC or maybe you want pizza?" I say scrolling on the phone

"Uhm...not really sure...maybe we could have pizza." Amelia says

"Okay then." I nod my head as I put in the order on my phone

I saw her getting undress and heading to bed. As I also felt like lying in bed so I did, it was cold so I just remembered to close the windows downstairs and everywhere around the house. About 25 minutes later the doorbell rang knowing it was probably the delivery driver. I got downstairs and answered the door to see the man giving the pizza as I collect it from him locking the door behind me.

"Two pizzas for the both of us one is spicy chicken and the other one is pepperoni and honey mustard you're favourite." I say giving it to her

"Thanks." she says hugging me

"I can't wait when we're married." I say smiling

"Me too Chris." she says smiling

"You're so beautiful Amelia..." I say rubbing her cheek

"Stoppp...." she says blushing putting her hands over her face

"What? I'm complementing you? Is it wrong to complement my future wife?" I say to her

"No...I guess its not." Amelia shrugs

"When we're done here I have another surprise we can do." I say with a happy smirk on my face

"Is that so?" Amelia blushes

We were laying in the bed and eating our pizza and having our cooldrink as we were watching The Last Of Us series. We watched for a couple of hours heading on to season 3 as I saw she was getting tired. She was already falling asleep as I put her back to bed making the bed and trying not to wake her up. We were both feeling tired so I put her on her side of the bed and cuddled her from behind. Suddenly, it started raining which I probably knew it was going to since there was just dark clouds and the forest saying it's going to rain tonight.

We were going into winter which meant we had to prepare for the winter since its quiet cold now. It started pouring outside and drizzling as I made sure all the windows is locked, turning off the TV and going to bed as I wrap my arms around Amelia.
