PART 33: SACRIFICE

I just looked at Amelia begging Cole to stop this madness and give her to me he has already done so much. He killed our best friends mine and Amelia's his a terrible person trying to say that it's my fault and that she's not good enough for me or that I don't deserve her. I looked at the two dead bodies lying there as Amelia was next to them. She just looked at me but couldn't say anything because she had a cloth over her mouth and I was tied up and couldn't get free because the rope was too tight. I tried everything I could to get this rope out of the way and free Amelia and then kill this asshole but I can't. I can't watch the love of my life get killed right in front of my own eyes. The same what happened to Matt and Sophie cannot happen to her...I will not let that happen.

"Okay...since you've had your time to think about this how about we negotiate a little bit?" he says with a smirk

"What..." I say softly

"You come with me and leave Amelia and this city and never talk to her again. Or you could just not do that and watch her die right in front of you." he says pointing the gun to her head

"It's your choice." he says smiling

"Go to hell!" I shout

"Ok- I cut him off

"Wait! I'll do what you want! Please leave her alone!" I say

"Thought as much..." he says lowering his gun

COLE'S POV

I thought maybe if I do this then I can get my revenge everything that I need. If I can't have Amelia, then I'll take the one thing that matters to Chris more than anything. I never wanted to do this, but I had no choice. Before all of this I had a plan to escape knowing that I had to lay low for a while.

Otherwise I would get caught but luckily, Chris's uncle helped me with that because he knew a few guards that could help me. He owed me a lot but I didn't really think about that even though, he didn't really care if his nephew got killed or that if I killed him. All he wanted was vengeance for his wife and nothing else. He hates his nephew but he doesn't admit or say it to him but he does really.

Then and there I shot Matt and Sophie right there in front of both of them as they both looked petrified at me. I showed no mercy as I pulled the trigger not having a second doubt about it as Chris was just screaming at me telling me to stop which I didn't. I enjoyed it just as much as me taking Amelia's life away. If I can't have her, what's the point? I will take the one thing that will ruin Chris for his rest of his life. He will never sleep peacefully knowing that his wife is dead soon to be. Of course, I had a second plan but first I wanted to make sure if the first plan failed then I would go onto the next.

Before all of this I heard were Amelia was headed and their exact location. So I raided the place with some of my people and killed all of them including Chris's two best friends. It ended up badly and very brutal all there were was just blood covering the whole place. Gunshot heard and people just dying I showed no mercy not thinking twice about it because I make sure I get what I want. Back in the good old days, Chris used to be a serial killer and used to kill lots of people.

It was like he had no humanity he didn't care about anyone or anything nothing bothered him. Soon, he was known as the most wanted man and he used to stay in Los Vegas where he used to do lots of killing and mafia people were in that place. The police was too scared to even think of trying to kill him knowing what he would do. I watched him carefully everything what he did and how he acted, how he lived. I despised him so much filled with nothing but hatred.

"So...inject her with this and leave her to my men. They will know what to do with her." I say giving him the sleeping injection

"I don't trust you. Give me your word!" he says calmly

"Fine I give you my word." I say as he takes the injection and injects her with it

She then falls asleep as I order two of my men to take her to a safe place. I'm not friends to all the mafia's that's after Chris but some of them will stop and not hurt him. I just want us to make a peaceful conversation and a good friendship between us which he'll not accept.

From what everything I've done. I want Amelia to realize and see what a monster he is and how could she even forgive him when he keeps all these secrets? After he did that we both left after saying his goodbyes. He felt like he wanted to kill me but he knew I can't do that as long as I kept my promise that I won't hurt her as long as he does what I need him to do. We left after that as he I could just see hatred in his eyes and nothing but pain.

"What do you need me to do? And what injection did you give Amelia?" he says questioning me

"Relax...I gave her a sleeping injection she'll wake up and realize nothing only that you left. Before we actually get going just give her this note whatever you're excuse is to leave her." I say giving him a notepad and a pen

He started writing on the piece of paper and then left it on the side table. We then left Boston and then headed to Los Vegas. I knew it's going to be hard to change himself and turn off his humanity and emotions off. By that time he did so, he felt nothing but pain but I'm not here to make it any better I just want to ruin his life.

"You'll to keep my promise." he says looking at me sternly

"Of course I keep to my word Christopher." I say looking at him

AMELIA'S POV

The few days I woke up it felt as if I have been sleeping for almost a week and I'm only waking up now. My head felt so aching and was just a throbbing pain though I still remember very vaguely what happened. I know that my best friend died and Chris's best friend died because of Cole killing the both of them. He did that with absolutely no regrets whatsoever which made him even more a monster than he already was. Chris hasn't messaged me which had me worried I just couldn't get over the fact right now that my best friend is dead. All those memories and the time we spent together she was the closest to me other than my family. I felt so hurt when I realized what happened it's like what happened to my brother everything I do is considered bad or something bad happens. When I opened my eyes I ended up in an apartment but a nice one everything looked new and fancy. I realized I was in one of Chris's apartments as I got out of bed seeing clothes next to me on the bed neatly packed for me and fresh. I put on the clothes and headed out being aware of my surroundings.

As I was about to leave to open the door, I saw a piece of paper on the table as I began to read it:

Dear Amelia I know you are going to hate me for this but I'm leaving...again this time I have no choice I know all I do is leave and you hate that about me, but please understand it's all for you. Everything I'm doing is for you and for your benefit only. I would never do anything to hurt you in any way all I want to do is protect you. You don't deserve someone like me but just know that I'll always be here for you. I am not sure how long I'll be gone I went with Cole, don't worry I'm not in danger I just made a deal with him in order to spare your life. Don't come looking for me whatever you do otherwise I don't think I'll be able to protect you. I can't always do that don't get yourself into bad situations please. I know, it's hard to take in all at once but just try to see it to my perspective all I'm doing is protecting you.

I just read the note and looked at it over a couple of times just trembling in fear and worry why he would do stuff like this.
