Kaveh POV
Today is my first day of my week off. I really appreciate what Alhaitham said. He doesn't usually say sappy stuff, but he did. And it was really sweet.
I woke up around 10 and Haitham had already made his way to work, so I decided to grab a rum and work on my car. I only have a few things left to fix up before I go and buy replacement fan belts. It's gonna be a long day.
Alhaitham POV
So, I'm planning on taking Kaveh out for dinner. He's been so unnecessarily stressed about absolutely everything and I want him to have a relaxing night. A nice dinner at a nice restaurant. No Cyno or Tighnari, just us two. Having dinner.
Okay so I'm super nervous. I made the reservation for 7pm and I've been stressing about it all day. I have barely got any work done. I want it to be perfect.
Once I finish work, I text Kaveh.
Kaveh ":3"
Hey, I'm coming home soon, but can you get dressed? Into something nice preferably.
Oh! What for? What's the occasion?
I just don't want to come home to you all covered in black grease and oil. Just get dressed up and clean yourself up.
Erm. Okay. See you soon xx
seenI go to the markets after I text him and I go to a florist. I remember, when we were studying together, he said something about mourning flowers. I think they're his favourite.
I walk up to the florist stall and I clear my throat to get the owners attention.
"Oh! How may I help you today, sir?" He asks politely.
"Do you sell mourning flowers?"
"Oh Um... no we don't actually. We don't go into the desert." He says, sighing.
I too sigh. "Okay. Thank you anyway." I say before walking away. This is a mess. It's 4 and the reservation is at 7. I'm so unorganised.
I make my way to the desert and I finally find a few mourning flowers. I grab six and I start walking back to Sumeru city.
Once I make it back to the city I go back to the florist.
"Make this look pretty." I say.
"O-oh. You actually... went there. Who's the lucky lady?" He asks and my face flushes red.
"No one in particular. Just for a house decoration." I say.
He decorates the bouquet and hands it to me once he's done. I throw a small baggie of mora onto his table before walking home. It's 6pm.
Kaveh POV
It's 6 and Alhaitham isn't home yet. I'm getting worried. I pace back and forth in the living room before I hear a knock on the door. I tilt my head confused before walking to it and opening it.
It's Alhaitham. With my favourite flowers. I tear up and I smile at him.
"What's this for?" I ask quietly as he pushes the bouquet towards me, turning his head to avoid eye contact.
"You." He said quietly.
"Well thank you, Al. They're beautiful. Wait. Is this why you're late? I've been worried sick." I say, concerned.
"They didn't sell the flowers at the market so I went out to get them." He said, smiling slightly.
I smile as I take the bouquet.
"Can I hug you?" I murmur, genuinely flustered.
"Is that a question?" Alhaitham scoffs, a shit eating grin on his face. I don't answer so he just pulls me into a hug and I instantly hug him back.
We stand there for a while before he speaks up.
"Come on. we have to go. You look great by the way."
"What?" I ask. "Go where? Oh wait! Let me put the flowers in a vase." I say before doing so. It doesn't take me long.
Once I'm done, he grabs my hand and walks out the door with me, locking it behind us. I can tell he's nervous about something, as his hands are a bit shaky, but I can't tell what's wrong. And knowing Alhaitham, you can't always pry out what's wrong.
Alhaitham POV
Im so nervous and there's no reason to be. It's just a nice dinner to help Kaveh relax a bit. Right?
We walked to the restaurant and I walked in, pulling Kaveh behind me.
"Al. This place is expensive. I can't pay for this!" He said, worried.
I stop walking and I turn to look at him.
" do you really think I'm going to let you pay on a date that I'm taking you to?" I say, a smirk growing on my face.
"A... date?" Kaveh asked, his eyes shining.
I pull him in for a kiss, my hand on the side of his face.
"Um. Sir-" the receptionist interrupted us.
We both pulled away from each other, embarrassed. I turned back around and asked about the reservation which the receptionist took us to.
It was a private room, but it was a lot more... sexy... than I expected. I just wanted a private dinner with my boyfriend. Not to put him in some sort of sex dungeon.
Kaveh POV
Is he taking me on a date? Or is he fucking the shit out of me? This room is... something. I look over to Alhaitham whose face is bright red. I doubt he knew the room would look like this. It's kinda funny...
He clears his throat. "Um... did you want to order?" He says before sitting down amd avoiding all eye contact. I laugh and he looks at me.
"You didn't know the room would be like this, huh?" I ask, looking all around me. No toys, but candles, cuffs, and lots of... framed photos. If you know, you know.
"Oh.. hah." He chuckles. "No I didn't. Was it that obvious?"
I nodded.
"It's the thought that counts, hon." I say, grabbing his hands from across the table. "Thank you."
He smiled sheepishly before looking at me."I just want you to have a nice night away from work, away from fixing that car. I just want you to relax and have a good meal. I didn't think this would be a literal sex dungeon." He laughed. I love his laugh. It's so sweet. I smile at him.
The night went really well. Maybe a bit too well. Me and Alhaitham had a few drinks each. He doesn't drink much, but when he does, he acts funny. Not like, funny funny, but like... horny funny.
He sat there, his chin gently resting on his hand as he stared at me.
"Do you wanna go home?" He asked quietly while smiling at me.
"That sounds great." I giggle.
"Okay. Let's go then." He says while putting a baggie of money next to the cheque.
