Daeva agrees and I collect some weekend clothes from my wardrobe. During the week we are only allowed to wear our uniforms but at the weekend we can wear whatever we wish. With Daeva off figuring out a way for us to get out of the kingdom and into the normal world, I need to shower. I take my clothes into the bathroom and lock the door, leaving Asmodeus to poke through my belongings hoping it will keep him distracted long enough for me to have a quick shower.
I let the hot water burn into my skin as I sigh, please let this all be just a horrible dream "pride and prejudice?" I scream, wrapping the shower curtain around my naked body "what the hell are you doing in here?" I yell and he points at the book in his hand completely unaware that personal boundaries are a thing "this" he taps the cover "this explains why you've never been kissed" oh my god, how does he... nevermind. "Get out" I yell still trying to cover my body with the shower curtain "but the doors locked" he points at the still locked door teasing and mocking it's uselessness "you got in here, now get out!" I role my eyes as he vanishes. This man just disappeared, right in front of my eyes and now I'm questioning everything. Can he see me? Can he walk through walls? Shit, he can get in my head. Now I can't have thoughts without him knowing. I tap the side of my head trying to shake away my thoughts and step out of the shower, quickly covering my body with a towel.
I climb into some fresh clothes still covering my body the best I can just incase. I wore black jeans and a black cropped vest that finished just above my high waist jeans. I look in the mirror brushing back my dark auburn hair and placing it in a high pony tail, I apply little makeup and head back into my room to join Daeva and Asmodeus. "I think I found a way out" she smiles, pulling a piece of paper from her pocket "we head down into the wood" I cut her off "the woods" we have always been told to stay clear of the woods, the noises that come from there at night is enough to give anyone nightmares. She nods "when we get to the well, turn left and keep walking until we reach the little hut and then we turn right until we reach a big dead tree" she reads from the paper "and then what?" I question, she shrugs "apparently there is some sort of entry to the outside world" oh great, we are going into the unknown. I slip my feet into my black lace up boots and begin packing my backpack. "Can I borrow some clothes?" she asks and I nod. She helps herself to the items in my wardrobe and enters the bathroom, closing the door behind her. "Don't even think about it!" I shoot Asmodeus a warning look and he pretends to be hurt at my words "me? I would never" he teases.
I finish packing my backpack and reach for my leather jacket as Daeva exits the bathroom wearing skinny jeans and a jumper. "Are we really doing this?" I ask as panic begins to set in "you want him gone" she says. True. "oh adventure time!" Asmodeus jumps "I love adventures" we begin sneaking through the corridors of the school trying to avoid being caught "this one time, I was in the normal world and..." he tries to speak as I cover his mouth with my hand "shhhh, just shush" I whisper as I feel his smile against my fingers. "Oh dominate me" he flirts in a whisper as I remove my hand from him "you have really soft hands" he continues "oh my god, just shut up before you get us caught" I hiss, we sneak through the gates and run for the woods "most people only refer to me as a god after they sleep with me" he say breathless as we run as fast as our legs can carry us. When we reach the woods we hide behind a large tree trying to regain our breath before continuing on our adventure "can you still hear him?" I look to Daeva as she gasps for air "unfortunately" she pants.
"Well isn't this a delightful adventure" Asmodeus speaks sarcastically as we begin to make our way further into the woods. The wind whistles through the trees as the twigs snap beneath our feet causing me to jump everytime. This place is freaky, there are so many ghost stories about these woods but the thing about ghosts is, they are stuck where they die, they grow angry and irritated that the afterlife isn't beautiful and peaceful. They become everything in the nightmares we have and they can cause us physical harm. An old wives tale states that if a ghost kills somebody then they can replace that person, become that person, live as that person while the other person is just stuck as a ghost where they die. The only way to keep yourself safe from ghosts is fire, which I cannot produce. So I am terrified "I can smell you from here, calm down" Daeva speaks as we continue walking, another fun thing about vampires, they can smell your emotions which is... weird and it takes a while to get used too.
"If only I could smell you, oh wait..." I cut him off "don't you dare!" I shoot him a dirty look "oh I just love it when your angry" he teases as we push our way through some draped tree vines. The well, it was kept neat and tidy by somebody, with perfectly bloomed flowers scattered around it and a bucket hanging as if it gets used on a regular basis. The smell of flowers intoxicated me causing me to go a little light headed and dizzy "we should leave, now" Asmodeus says as a worried look spreads across his face "why, it's so beautiful here" Daeva speaks as she to looks just as intoxicated and happy as me. I feel fuzzy and warm, like I want to lay down and just sleep. "Move, now!" Asmodeus grabs us both by the wrist and begins marching us to the left, in the direction we need to go. As we walk my head begins to settle and my rush of feelings calms down. When we are far enough away he releases us both "what do they teach you in that school?" he questions slightly irritated "what do you mean?" I respond confused "fresh flowers, pretty surroundings, perfect scenery, happy fuzzy feelings, wanting to sleep, FAIRIES!" he points back in the direction of which we came. We have always been told stories of fairies, since we were little but then the stories fizzled out because they had become so hidden and rare to encounter. The truth about fairies isn't a pretty one, they don't sing happy songs, live in mushrooms or speak to animals. The truth is they lure you in until you sleep and when you sleep they take your skin, you are in such a deep sleep you do not feel it happening and if you wake up at all then you are lucky because they don't just stop at the skin. The skin is used for roofs on their homes and also to make clothes, they use your bones for structural support, your hair is used for blankets and then whatever they have no use for, they eat. Yes that's right fairies are evil.
