I'm back in the bathroom, back with Silas and back with my hands on his body as we look into each other's eyes. He lowers his face towards me and he kisses me, softly. I kiss him back, deepening the kiss wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him closer. He removes my towel and lifts my body as I wrap my legs around him. He's kissing my neck as he presses me against the wall and I'm moaning loudly almost begging for him.
The door knocks loudly pulling me from my dream, was it my dream or was it Asmodeus messing with me?
I sigh loudly and the door knocks again "I'm coming" I yell as I slide off the bed and open the door "the truck is running, we are leaving in five" Daeva says as she runs back down the hallway. I quickly throw on my clothes, gather my small amount of belongings and head downstairs, placing the keys to the room at the empty reception desk and heading out the door. "Morning" I smile to Jasper and Silas who are stood in front of the truck and Jasper greets me with a half asleep smile and hands me a cup of fresh coffee. "Jesus why do you guys take so long, I've been waiting by the truck for hours" Daeva says sarcastically as she climbs into the back of the truck with Jasper, leaving me to get in the front with Silas. "How far is the drive?" I ask as I tie my hair into a messy bun. "Around twelve hours if the roads are clear and we don't stop to often" Silas says starting the engine, can this truck even make it that far, it spits and chokes as it starts and the radio sounds all distorted.
We drive for a while in silence, Daeva and Jasper are passed out on the back seats pretty much laying on top of each other. I watch out the window as the houses go by and wonder what type of people live inside them. Normal people. Families. "Do you ever wonder what's it's like?" I say my thoughts out loud "what what's like?" Silas asks "a normal life, waking up and going to a nine to five job, with worries about bills and normal things" I respond, lost in thought at the idea. "It's not worth thinking about something you can't have" he states and I know that but I still want it. A small house, lots of animals and lots of land to rescue more, I smile at the idea and he looks over to me "what?" he questions and I shake my head "nothing" let's face it even if I do survive this, I will never blend. Silas pulls into a gas station and I climb out of the truck stretching my legs, I look back at Jasper and Daeva who are still sleeping, how? "Hey can you take this and pay, I'll be back in five" Silas says handing me some money "sure" I smile as I watch him walk off around the corner and I head inside. "Pump number five please" I say handing the young man the money "you shouldn't be here" he says as he snatches it from my hand "I'm sorry?" I question not sure if I heard him correctly "you shouldn't be here!" he hisses almost animal like as he throws himself over the counter toward me, not again. Focus. Focus. Focus. My skin heats up and the hairs on my body stand and I launch the man against the far wall, knocking him clean out. Why shouldn't I be here? What does he know? I look at him as he lays on the floor and I walk beside him, taking his hand in mine. I already feel bad about this and now I'm about to make myself feel worse by going inside his mind and finding out what he is, what he knows.
It's dark again but screams of pain overwhelm my ears as I frantically look around for the cause, he's in a hospital maybe, a surgery room, I don't know. People are wearing masks and doing something to him whilst he's awake. The voices sound familiar almost like Mrs Daffin, the head teacher, her strong deep accent made her very unique and intimidating. That can't be possible can it? Everything goes dark and everything goes silent until I am in a room with... It is Mrs Daffin along side other members of the council and... Mom? "You really have done wonderful work, how many more hybrids are yet to wake?" one of them says "and will it be enough to get the Cinnstuar?" my mom asks and I am pulled out of it. I open my eyes and Silas is shaking me "what was that?" he asks full of confusion "please don't tell Daeva" are the first words that come out of my mouth, not that my mom wants me dead, or the council are building some sort of hybrid army. "That doesn't answer my question" he says growing irritable "we have got to go, I will tell you later I promise but we need to leave" I say as I take him by the hand and pull him back to the truck. He doesn't question me again and I am greatful, beyond greatful. How can I explain everything I am feeling right now, does my mom know I'm a Cinnstuar witch? Am I a Cinnstuar Witch? What do the council want with me and what are these hybrid things? I try to steady my breathing as my chest grows tight with panic and I close my eyes. Breathe in and out, in and out, in and out. "Do you want to talk about it?" Silas asks and I open my eyes to look at him, I want to scream it but "not right now" I say looking back at Daeva then at Silas and he seems to understand. I can't believe I'm lying to Daeva, I'm a terrible liar but I don't want her to feel uncomfortable with me. I do not speak for the remainder of the journey, not when Jasper wakes and not when Daeva wakes. By the time we had arrived at the dock it was dark and we could just about make out the outline of the boat. When Silas said he had a boat I was expecting a boat not a yacht, this thing was huge, not overwhelming huge but huge enough to have four levels and six bedrooms. We waste no time in setting off and Jasper along with Daeva run around looking for the best rooms. Silas has told them to enjoy it and they definitely will, there's an actual hot tub at the front of the boat and apparently a massage room down below with a sauna and a steam room. The interior was completely different to the dark home Silas has, the boat is fresh, modern and mostly white with hints of black. The main deck in which I currently stood had, two indoor seating areas, a dining area, a bar area and a large pool table. Apparently the kitchen was downstairs, along with five of the bedrooms, on the ground floor was the sauna, steamroom, massage room and storage for extra supplies. The top floor has the master bedroom and the helm where I'm assuming Silas will be spending most of his time.
