Weapons

"The moment of truth!" Goto said, watching as Melissa prepared the three Transcendent Class Items for presentation to Izuku. He asked to be present, and since he was the king, and since he was lending Izuku the Creation Lord, Izuku acquiesced. It was only fair that the leader of his nation be privy to the weapons they created.

In front of him, Melissa presented three bundles of the most high-quality fiber, swaddling the immensely powerful weapons. A small one, a medium one, and a larger one. Izuku could immediately tell that the small one was the gun and the large one the sword. The mystery was the medium-sized one.

Izuku hadn't taken Melissa for a ceremonial-type, but she presented her works with great reverence. No one could argue with her passion, or with her right to present them in such a way. These were to be immortal pieces of history. They deserved it.

"This is... a first for this world," Melissa said, grabbing the edge of the fabric. "A Transcendent Class Firearm." Underneath was a modern gun, with accents of bright-red energy, the Calamitous Steel.

"Its name is Morphos. Your perfect weapon. So perfect that I've bonded it to your Soul, and your Soul alone. No one will be able to steal it. Even once you're a corpse, it will belong only to you."

Izuku smirked. "That's actually quite a comforting thought."

"Only you could find that comforting," She replied.

"Wait..." Rumi interrupted. "Why is it his perfect weapon? I never trained him using firearms since they only exist in Mirrim."

Izuku had caught Melissa's slip-up, but played it off as cool as possible. Unfortunately, Rumi was there.

Rumi was not the smartest of the bunch. They all had some sort of intellectual edge over her in a field they'd studied. However, Rumi knew this, and that caused her to see any lack of knowledge as a flaw. She couldn't study entire fields in a day, but she could ask questions about anything she didn't understand. And people asking questions were the type Izuku liked the least.

Melissa froze, and anything Izuku said would feel hollow since he didn't even know what the weapon did. Thankfully, Mei stepped up. Or rather, she didn't notice the social awkwardness. In fact, she didn't even understand the gravitas of Rumi asking that. She wasn't covering for Izuku's Shifter secret at all, she just wanted to rant about her creation, and that saved him.

"Because it's perfect for someone with growth like his! Its variability and adaptation make it perfect for him! No one else could use it the way he can! And that's because," She picked it up, apparently not burdened by the Enchantment that prevented it from being stolen, "This can turn into any projectile weapon the user can imagine, within a certain size, of course. While these imaginary weapons can do amazing things, they are not capable of certain actions. For instance, you cannot make a gun that shoots bullets that can kill anyone regardless of their strength or defense, or make a gun that can shoot Magic that you don't understand or control. However, in spite of that it can create limitless ammo of any type for any weapon, and its power is only determined by the user, meaning it has no clear cap on power. This and the versatility make it a perfect accent to his powers!"
