Kiyo let out a yelp as her own blood splattered on the floor. She clutched her bloody left eye, tears falling down the other as she looked up at the monstrous giant that was her father.
"I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed. "I apologise, so please forgive me! What are you angry about? Why are you so upset?"
Her father remained silent, not saying a word as he looked down at his crying, bleeding daughter. It was clear he didn't feel much remorse for his actions.
Her mother simply watched from the silk thread that was suspended mid-air, that she was stood on. "It's your own fault for not realising why he's angry." Was all she said, not doing anything to help her daughter.
"But how could I?" Kiyo responded.
Behind a tree, Kiyo's younger sister, Sumi, peeked at the scene in front of her from behind a tree, giggling.
"Sister's in trouble with Dad again!" She laughed, finding her sister's pain amusing.
Their father then grabbed Kiyo by the hair despite her pained yelps and protests whilst her older sister, Naho, just watched, her hand pressed against a tree. She seemed more concerned for her sister's wellbeing than their other family members.
...
Kiyo could see Nezuko's sympathetic expression as her eyes reopened, the world seeming a whole lot brighter.
Those eyes.. she thought. Such kind eyes.. I think there may have been someone who looked at me with such kind eyes. I wonder who it could have been..
She could see someone that stood out in her now pitch-black surroundings with snow falling all around them. They had their back turned away from her and had black hair tied into a ponytail.
I can't remember. Kiyo thought as her surroundings darkened once more, but now she could see the woman's face; she had a kind smile with her bangs covering her eyes and wearing a nurses' apron. It was someone who always treasured me.
She could see a glimpse of a demon's arm. I wonder how they're doing now.
As her head then began to crumble, Kiyo then said quietly to Nezuko. "There's a Kizuki here."
Nezuko's eyes widened at Kiyo's words. "Wait!" She exclaimed, running over to the demon's nearly completely disintegrated head.
"Be careful.." Kiyo whispered before her head completely crumbled to dust.
"There's a Kizuki here.." Nezuko said to herself. "A genuine member of the Twelve Kizuki on this mountain!"
The full moon hung high in the night sky in all its glory, basking the mountain in its pale glow as Nezuko began to think.
The blood of the Twelve Kizuki should have a lot of blood from Ubuyashiki himself. If I can extract some, we'll be one step closer to restoring onii chan's humanity.
"Oh, right! What about Aoi?" Nezuko suddenly realised as she began to run back to where Aoi was doing fuck knows what.
....
"Did ya beat 'em?" Aoi asked once Nezuko returned. Her body had several deep cuts, which had blood oozing out of each of them, with her hands on her hips, looking rather irritated as she let out a huff.
Nezuko took a step towards her, a look on concern on her face. "Are you alright, Aoi?"
"Did ya kill that damn thing or not?" Aoi questioned impatiently once more.
