umbrella. y/n had a penchant for sunsets. it had become a daily ritual to capture their beauty through her camera lens.

rain, on the other hand, didn't evoke strong feelings from her—she neither loved nor hated it, but she definitely preferred other weather conditions.

after class ended, she glanced up at the sky, anticipating the usual vibrant hues of sunset, only to be greeted by a blanket of gray clouds and steady rain.

the twins had already headed home, leaving her behind as she searched the school library for interesting books.

with a sigh, she reached into her bag, expecting to find her umbrella. panic set in when it wasn't there. "did i forget to bring it?" she muttered anxiously, rifling through her bag once more.

the realization sank in—she was without shelter on a rainy day, and running through the rain would likely leave her sick.

"what am i going to do?" she lamented quietly to herself, scanning her surroundings for any sign of an umbrella or cover.

that's when she noticed a pristine white umbrella resting on a nearby bench. her eyes widened with hope and a faint sparkle of gratitude.

"the heavens are being good to me today." she murmured, a small smile tugging at her lips as she hurried towards it.

before her hand could grasp the handle, another voice cut through the rain-soaked air. "found it."

the girl froze, her gaze lifting to meet the eyes of a boy towering above her, holding the umbrella in his grasp.

his presence surprised her, and she hesitated, unsure of how to react as she realized he had taken the umbrella she had set her sights on.

"um, were you going to take this?" his voice was calm, almost indifferent, as he eyed her skeptically.

she blinked, caught off guard by his direct question. "oh, uh, no, i was just..." she trailed off, feeling a bit flustered under his gaze.

"i was just looking for an umbrella because i forgot mine." she admitted sheepishly.

he regarded her for a moment longer, seemingly weighing her response. then, without a word, he turned as if to walk away, the umbrella still in his grasp.

y/n's heart sank slightly. she hadn't expected him to just walk off with it. just as disappointment began to settle in, he paused and glanced back at her.

she couldn't quite read his expression, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes—perhaps hesitation or maybe even guilt.

without a word, he extended the umbrella towards her. "here." he said curtly.
