─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───paparazzi. y/n was a certified nerd, especially when it came to anime. her obsession knew no bounds — she'd binge-watch series faster than her friends could finish a bag of chips.
crushes? oh, she had them aplenty, on characters who were fictional, triple her age, and often embroiled in epic battles against supernatural forces.
it didn't matter that they were figments of someone's imagination. they were as real to her as homework on a sunday night.
her phases were legendary. one moment, she'd be into magical girls saving the world with glittery wands, and the next, it was brooding anti-heroes with tragic backstories.
real-life crushes? forget about it. she was too busy analyzing the latest anime plot twists to spare a thought for anyone in her class.
but things changed. a real-life crush snuck up on her, and boy, did it hit hard. it was so consuming that it even made her feel sorry for herself, wondering how she could be so delusional over someone who wasn't animated.
(a/n: he's still animated... but oh well, it's in another universe anyway 😔)
the urge to spill the beans to nao or hanzo became unbearable. she craved someone to share her delusions with, but kenma and kuroo? they were like the wise sages of reality checks.
telling them would be like asking a cat for career advice — you'd get a stare that says, "are you kidding me?"
in their classroom, during the lull before the next period, y/n summoned nao and hanzo for what she intended to be a solemn and confidential meeting.
they were conveniently seated beside her, so she took a deep breath and dove in.
"so, you two are aware that i have this crush thing going on—" she began, but before she could finish, hanzo shot up from his seat, wide-eyed and exclaiming, "what!?"
his outburst startled the nearby classmates, who turned to look, puzzled. quick to react, nao pulled him back down, hissing, "shut up and hear her out!" in a hushed yet urgent tone.
hanzo settled back into his seat, attempting to compose himself as y/n waited patiently.
"his name is kindaichi yuutaro—" she continued, only to be interrupted again by simultaneous gasps from nao and hanzo, who jumped to their feet with incredulous expressions, shouting in unison, "what!?"
this time, their outburst drew even more curious stares from their peers. "shut up!" one said.
y/n, now slightly exasperated, massaged her temples and leveled a stern gaze at her dramatic friends. "sit down, both of you." she scolded firmly, as if reprimanding excitable children.
