─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───locker. y/n still hadn't returned the umbrella, obviously. it wasn't that she had forgotten about it—how could she? the thought of the umbrella, and the boy who lent it to her, never left her mind.
every glance at the umbrella in her room was a reminder of the mysterious boy and the awkward encounter that had left her both flustered and intrigued.
but today was different. today, she had a plan.
a plan to return the umbrella without having to face him directly. she thought it was a bit ridiculous, but she couldn't muster the courage to talk to him.
this was her first serious crush, after all, and she knew she would probably stutter or panic if she had to speak to him.
so, she decided that after class, she would sneak the umbrella into his shoe locker.
she was racking her brain for ways to return the umbrella without embarrassing herself. this seemed like the only option, even if it felt a bit silly. she knew she had to do it—keeping it would just be rude, after all.
as she waited in the library, pretending to be reading a book, she kept glancing at the analog clock on the wall in front of her, waiting for the right moment when the hallway would be empty.
finally, the time seemed right. she slipped out of the library, clutching the the strings of her bag tightly, and made her way to the shoe lockers.
the hallway was eerily quiet, just as she had hoped. she took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart, and started scanning the rows of lockers.
just as she was about to pull the umbrella from her bag, she froze. "right." she muttered to herself, "i don't know his name."
she facepalmed, feeling very embarrassed and frustrated. "this is so stupid." she sighed, looking around as if the lockers themselves might offer a solution.
feeling hopeless, she walked over to a nearby bench and plopped down, burying her face in her hands. "how am i gonna return this?" she groaned.
at that moment, a voice startled her. "planning a heist or something?" it was nao, thankfully, who had apparently been passing by and noticed y/n's odd behavior.
she looked up, startled. "nao! what are you doing here?" nao smirked, sitting down next to her. "i could ask you the same thing. why were you skulking around the shoe lockers?"
y/n hesitated, then sighed. "i was just... thinking." nao raised an eyebrow. "thinking? you look more like you're plotting something."
she forced a laugh. "just daydreaming, i guess. it's been a long day." nao looked at her skeptically but didn't press further. "alright, if you say so. just don't get caught doing anything suspicious."
