─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───unknown. hours drifted by, yet kunimi was still in y/n's apartment. the two were playing video games, though it was more like y/n shouting at kunimi every time she lost.
she was a lot more competitive than he expected, her frustration bubbling over each time his character claimed victory on screen.
he could practically feel the vibrations of her voice rattling his eardrums, but despite the noise, he was enjoying it-especially since it only made his wins all the more satisfying.
"please, just let me win once!" she begged, leaning forward at the edge of the couch, her eyes laser-focused on the game.
meanwhile, kunimi sat comfortably, one leg crossed over the other, casually pressing buttons as if he was barely paying attention.
"nuh-uh." he teased. the victory animation played again, and y/n groaned, dropping her controller onto the table with a frustrated sigh. she clenched her fists, clearly trying to suppress the urge to throw the console across the room.
"that's it, i'm done. i'm not playing anymore." she declared, crossing her arms as she leaned back into the cushions, clearly sulking.
kunimi scoffed and set his controller down, mirroring her relaxed posture. "you're such a sore loser." he said, the corners of his mouth twitching up into a lazy grin.
she shot him a glare, narrowing her eyes. "i'm not playing with you again." she got up from the couch. as she made her way to the kitchen, she rummaged through a drawer and pulled out a bag of chips.
while she was occupied, kunimi stretched and got up, leisurely wandering around the living room, his gaze casually sweeping across the space. "you're rich, aren't you?" he asked out of nowhere.
y/n froze for a moment, caught off guard by the question. she turned to look at him, puzzled. "i wouldn't say i'm rich, just... financially stable, i guess." she replied, closing the drawer and leaning against the counter as she watched him continue to explore her apartment.
the male walked to the window, peering out at the city below. "your apartment's pretty spacious. you even have a full living room and a separate bedroom. it's not something you see every day."
she shrugged, popping a chip into her mouth. "if you think this is spacious, i have no idea what you'd say about my house in tokyo." she replied, chuckling softly as she settled back onto the couch, the crunch of the chips filling the comfortable silence.
kunimi turned away from the window, raising an eyebrow as he studied her. "i didn't know you used to live in tokyo." he said, his expression showing mild surprise.
"when you mentioned not living with your parents, i honestly thought you might've been a runaway or something."
y/n nearly choked on her chip, coughing as she waved a hand in front of her mouth. "a runaway? i'm the furthest thing from that." she managed between coughs, laughing once she recovered.
