─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───apology. the hug was something y/n didn't dwell on. to her, it was just an act of comfort in the moment, nothing more. but for kunimi, it was different.
the feeling lingered long after, replaying in his mind. when she hugged him, he felt an overwhelming urge to break down in her arms. he wasn't used to physical affection as his family wasn't particularly touchy. but he realized just how much he needed that embrace.
in that moment, he was truly grateful for her. despite the teasing and bickering that defined their dynamic, kunimi knew he could count on her when it mattered.
it was a realization that caught him off guard-never did he expect to think so genuinely about her.
the next morning, the kunimi family gathered around the table, the air heavy with tension as they addressed what had happened the night before. kunimi opened up about the situation, explaining what had been bothering him for the past couple of months.
he detailed how murakami, who they all suspected was his stalker, had been showing up at the restaurant, always watching him from a distance, trying to catch him alone to strike up a conversation.
it never felt like mere coincidence to him anymore, especially since she always seemed to be around wherever he went. the more he talked, the more the pieces came together.
his parents were heartbroken to hear how long kunimi had kept this to himself. they were angry too, not at him, but at the fact that he had been dealing with this quietly, feeling like he had to handle it alone.
meanwhile, y/n returned home, her thoughts still lingering on kunimi and the situation. she was relieved that his family was finally aware, but she couldn't shake the worry that murakami might still be lurking around, ready to scare him again.
today was her day off, and although she felt restless, wanting to head back to work just to keep an eye on things, the kunimis had decided to close the restaurant for the day, prioritizing kunimi's well-being over everything else.
"what should i eat today?" y/n muttered to herself, peering into her pantry and feeling her stomach growl in hunger. just as she was contemplating her lunch options, a sudden knock on the door made her flinch.
she froze for a moment, turning her head toward the door with a sense of unease. "i swear if it's her..." she mumbled, tiptoeing cautiously to the door and checking through the peephole.
"oh, ew." her expression flattened before she unlocked and opened the door. "what do you want, hanzo?" she asked with crossed arms, her tone more annoyed than curious.
hanzo stood there, looking a bit nervous as he scratched the back of his neck. "oh, you actually opened the door." he said, surprised by her willingness to let him in.
