It was taking a hike when I realized it. Climbing up a tall mountain that Riley had wanted to go on, to explore. And how could I say no, It always made her so happy when I agreed to tag along. It was no walk in the park climbing up those rocks, trying to reach the top of the mountain. We were both covered in dirt, and just hoping we would reach it before one of us passed out.
I let Riley go first of course, it was such a sunny day and I remember we had brought water. It was too bad I let Riley finish it off, she seemed more thirsty then I was, but also more full of energy at the same time.
We were climbing up this one hill, I decided to go first just to make sure it was safe. And of course since Riley was quick, I didn't want her to get hurt.
I may have put my foot in the wrong area while trying to climb as we came tumbling down. I remember we just fell to the ground laughing like a bunch of total idiots. Of course it hurt, but I don't think I even realized it.
I then stopped laughing as I glanced over to her, she looked so beautiful, her hair swaying in the wind, he laughter so contagious I could listen to it all day, and that's when I realized it. The day I fell in love with her.
