Spongebob: The killer number 2's motive was a personal grudge against me and Papyrus, including a thirst for entertainment.

Spongebob: Both Girlfriend and the killer number 2 planned to murder someone that day.

Spongebob: Of course killer number 2 found out about Girlfriend's plans through the note sent by someone unknown, possibly the Mastermind who wanted to see death in here.

Monokuma: While I was playing slots at the Casino, the killer number 2 was looking for the sledgehammer inside the slot machine I wasn't playing.

Monokuma: Since Papyrus and Flowey had hidden all the weapons excluding unique weapons, the killer number 2 needed to find them.
