Inside, she found Rhaenyra standing in the center of the room, trembling and visibly shaken. Her eyes were wide and unblinking, haunted by the near-death experience she had just endured.

But what truly horrified Rhaenyra, what left her paralyzed in shock, was the sight of her sworn shield, Ser Erryk lying dead next to his twin Ser Arryk.

All she could do was gather Rhaenyra in her arms and urgently call for a healer. Rebekah noticed the cuts on Rhaenyra's face, each one deepening her guilt and sorrow. "I'm sorry I wasn't here," she whispered, her voice thick with regret.

Rhaenyra buried her face in Rebekah's neck, her body trembling. "He died protecting me," she murmured, her voice choked with emotion. "Ser Erryk upheld his vows to the end. H-He killed his own twin to save me."

The Princess stared at the two brothers lying close together. Her heart ached at the sight. "We should bury him," Rebekah said quietly, her eyes filled with immense gratitude as she looked at Ser Erryk. Her only regret was not knowing him better. The gods were cruel, often taking away good people too soon.

"Them. We should bury them together," Rhaenyra added, her voice trembling but resolute. It was a promise to honor both brothers, despite the tragedy that had torn them apart because of the rift that began when Alicent's son usurped her throne, which was rightfully hers.

The whole realm was divided over which Targaryen should sit on the throne, and this division had now claimed two more lives. The catalyst for all this bloodshed was the death of her son at the hands of Alicent's second son.

Now here she was standing outside by Rhaenyra's side holding her hand. Jacaerys stood beside his mothers wearing a solemn expression.

The guards were burying them together by Rhaenyra's orders.
