She didn't notice the approaching footsteps until a hand gently rested on her waist. "My love."
Her tear-filled eyes met Rhaenyra's, who mirrored her sorrow. "How long have you been up here?"
"Not long," Rebekah replied, staring back up at the skies. "I can't believe it. I've been waiting here every day, hoping she'll return on Meleys... I sent a raven to Jeyne, informing her of Rhaenys' passing, to tell Rhaena."
Rebekah sobbed, "I should've been there!"
Rhaenyra swallowed back her tears, "And have you end up like Lucerys and Rhaenys?" she bit back.
