𓆩❤︎𓆪┊Rebekah Targaryen always had a soft spot for Laena. Her adventurous niece was practically her partner in crime. Both share the rebellious spirit of wanting not to follow the rules and create their own path rather than being obedient and quiet, but instead loud and free.
Over the years Laena and Rebekah would communicate through letters. She harbored no resentment when she married Daemon. She was happy with Mal and that was it. The last letter she had sent when she was a moon near her pregnancy was about how she wanted the twins to meet her. Still, to this day, the Velaryons would boast about how twins run in a family.
Laena always said that if she were to die, it would be on her terms and she died a dragon's death rather than dying in her labours.
