Life at the orphanage is lonely and filled with uncertainty, and all the children are experiencing sexual abuse on a daily basis. But that's one thing that no one else knows about.

One day a loving gay couple arrives - Nick and Charlie. It's decided that Maddie will live with the two men temporarily, while social services look for a permanent home for her. But Maddie, haunted by memories from the orphanage, she struggles to accept the idea of ​​living with two dads. She is scared, skeptical and filled with anxiety.

Can Maddie find safety and love in this new, temporary home? Will she tell Nick and Charlie about her background, or will she keep it to herself?"

Hello and welcome to my new story!

I'm so excited to share this Heartstopper fanfiction with you, where we get to follow Nick and Charlie as they take care of a foster child – Maddie.

The story will contain both fictional elements and parts based on my own experiences. There will also be many sensitive topics, so please be kind and respectful to each other in the comments.

This is my first "real" story. With "real" I mean that I really want to put time and energy into developing my writing. Therefore, I cannot say exactly how often new chapters will be published, as I want to process them thoroughly before sharing them with you.
