"So can i see this Malachi or..."

I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone, scrolling through my photos until I found one of Malachi. I showed it to Zoey, who gasped in surprise.

"Wow, he's gorgeous!" Zoey exclaimed. "I can see why you're into him."

I laughed, feeling a sense of pride. "Yeah, he's pretty amazing."

Zoey took my phone from me, zooming in on Malachi's face. "He has such a strong jawline. And his eyes are so piercing. You two would make such a cute couple."

I blushed, feeling a sense of happiness. "Thanks, Zoey. I think we do too."

Zoey handed my phone back to me, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "You two totally fit each other. You're both so beautiful and talented. I can't believe you're not official yet."

I laughed, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Zoey. "Thanks, Zoey. You're really sweet."

Zoey grinned, her eyes shining with enthusiasm. "I'm just speaking the truth. You two are meant to be."

We hadn't even noticed that the music stop and everyone was just talking amongst themselves.Jona approached us and asked Zoey "hey mind if i borrowed Laura for a walk on the beach" Zoey whined "But we were having girl timeeeee" I laughed at her child like antic "I'll be back soon, promise"

As me and Jona walked along the beach, the sun setting over the waves, He then turned to me with a serious expression.

"Laura, can I talk to you about something?" he asked, his voice low.

I nodded, curious. "Of course, Jona. What is it?"

He took a deep breath. "It's about our arranged marriage. I know it's not something you want to think about, but I need to be honest with you. My father has been pushing me to be more...friendly with you. To try and make it work."

I felt a surge of anxiety, but Prince Jona held up his hand.

"No, no, Laura. I'm not trying to pressure you. I just want to be honest. I know this isn't what you want, and I don't want to force you into anything. But I need to be clear about my own feelings. I think we could be great together, but only if you want it too."
