The next morning, Laura and I were fast asleep in her room, exhausted from the previous day's events. But our peaceful slumber was disrupted by the sound of Laura's phone ringing. The ringtone was a loud, annoying melody that seemed to pierce through our eardrums.

We both groaned, trying to ignore the sound. But it only got louder and more insistent. Finally, Laura rolled over and reached for the phone, rubbing her eyes.

"Hello?" she mumbled, her voice still husky with sleep.

I watched as she listened to the person on the other end, her expression changing from groggy to happy.

"What?...When?...Okay, got it," she said, her voice becoming more awake with each passing moment.

I sat up, curious about who was calling her at such an early hour. Laura looked at me, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Hey i have to go, I'll be back before dinner okay" she kissed my neck "Are you okay babe, you seem so happy" I rasp out still tired "All good just have to meet someone today"

Laura headed to the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day, leaving me to my own devices in her room. I lay back on the bed, scrolling through my phone to catch up on any messages or updates I might have missed.

But my attention was completely diverted when Laura emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in a towel and looking like a vision of loveliness. Her hair was damp and tangled, and her skin was glowing with a soft, radiant light.

I felt my breath catch in my throat as I gazed at her, my eyes unable to look away. She was so beautiful, so captivating, that I couldn't help but stare.

Laura seemed oblivious to my gaze, humming to herself as she began to rummage through her closet for clothes. But I couldn't tear my eyes away, my heart pounding in my chest.

Finally, Laura noticed me watching her and smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Hey, Malachi," she said, her voice husky. "Enjoying the view?"

I felt my face flush with embarrassment, but I couldn't deny it. "Guilty as charged," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.

Laura chuckled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Well, I'm glad someone appreciates me," she said, striking a pose in her towel.

I laughed, feeling my heart swell with love and adoration for this incredible woman. "You have no idea how much I appreciate you, Laura," I said, my voice filled with emotion.

And with that, I put down my phone and got up from the bed, my eyes never leaving hers as I crossed the room to join her.

I walked up to her, my heart pounding in my chest, and gently wrapped my arms around her waist. Laura's eyes met mine, her gaze soft and inviting. I leaned in, my lips brushing against hers in a soft, gentle kiss.

As we kissed, the world around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in our own little bubble of love and desire. I felt Laura's towel slipping,
I was gentleman enough to avert my eyes, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable or vulnerable. I knew that she wasn't trying to entice me, and I respected her enough to not take advantage of the situation.

Instead, I focused on her face, her eyes, and her smile. I saw the faint hint of embarrassment in her expression, and I quickly reassured her with a gentle smile.

"Don't worry, Laura," I said softly. "I'm not looking. Your privacy is safe with me."

Laura's eyes met mine, and she smiled gratefully. "Thanks, Malachi," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "You're a true gentleman."

Laura's phone rang, shrill and insistent. We both groaned, our moment ruined by the harsh sound.

"I'm so sorry, Mal," Laura said, her voice apologetic. "I have to get that."

I nodded, understanding, and let her go. She answered the phone, her voice professional and detached, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy.

Who was this person, interrupting our moment like this? And what did they want with Laura?

As I watched her talk, her expression serious and focused, I realized that I didn't like this one bit. I wanted to be the only one who made her smile, the only one who made her heart race.

Laura finally hung up the phone, her expression still serious. "Sorry about that, Malachi," she said, her voice distracted. "I have to go."

I nodded, understanding. "Where are you off to?" I asked, my eyes never leaving hers.

Laura hesitated, her eyes darting around the room. "A friend" she said finally. "It's important."

I raised an eyebrow, curious. "What's going on?" I asked, my voice soft.

Laura smiled, her eyes sparkling. "I'll tell you later, promise," she said, her voice teasing.

I chuckled, my heart skipping a beat. "Okay, fine," I said, my eyes never leaving hers.

Laura grinned, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Thanks, Babe," she said, her voice soft.

And with that, she leaned in, her lips brushing against mine in a quick, gentle kiss. I felt my heart soar, my love for her overflowing.

"See you later, Malachi," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

And with that, she was gone, leaving me alone in her room, my heart still racing from our kiss. I couldn't help but smile, my love for her shining brighter than ever.
