The carnival was alive with lights and laughter, the vibrant colors of rides and stalls painting a joyful picture against the night sky. The cast and crew of Z4 were enjoying their last night of freedom before the intense filming schedule began. Laura and Malachi, who had been looking forward to this evening together, were particularly excited.

“Let’s make sure we get on the Ferris wheel before the lines get too long,” Malichai said, squeezing Laura’s hand as they strolled through the carnival.

“I’m all in for that,” Laura replied with a smile. “It’ll be a perfect end to the night.”

As they approached the Ferris wheel, Malachi noticed a long line . “Hold our spot,” he said. “I’ll be quick i need to use the restrooms. I don’t want to miss this ride with you.”

Laura nodded, standing by the entrance as Malachi dashed off. She watched him go, feeling a mix of anticipation and excitement. The line for the Ferris wheel moved steadily, and soon Laura was near the front, her heart set on sharing this experience with Malichai.

But as the line continued to advance, Laura’s excitement turned to concern. She glanced back, hoping to see Malichai returning, but he was nowhere in sight. The line continued to move, and before she knew it, she was at the boarding area.

“Laura!” Austin called out as he joined the line, catching up with her. “Ready for the ride?”

Laura looked around, her heart sinking. “Actually, I was waiting for Malichai. He’s been gone for a bit, and I’m not sure where he is.”

Austin gave her a sympathetic smile. “I’m sure he’ll catch up soon. How about we just go ahead and ride? I promise we’ll keep it fun.”

Reluctantly, Laura agreed. She didn’t want to delay the ride for everyone else, and part of her was curious about how Austin’s company would feel. They climbed into one of the Ferris wheel's seats, and the ride began its slow ascent into the night sky.

From their vantage point high above the carnival, the view was stunning. Laura tried to focus on the sparkling lights below, but her thoughts kept drifting to Malichai. She hoped he was okay and that he wouldn’t be too upset about missing the ride.

“You know,” Austin said, trying to lighten the mood, “this view is amazing. I bet it’s even better when you’re here with someone you care about.”

Laura glanced at him, her mind still preoccupied. “Yeah, it is beautiful. Malichai and I were really looking forward to this.”

Austin seemed to sense her distraction and offered a warm smile. “Well, I’m sure he’ll catch up with us soon. Until then, I’m glad I got to share this moment with you.”

Laura appreciated the sentiment and tried to relax, enjoying the conversation as much as she could. As the Ferris wheel reached its peak, she noticed Malichai rushing towards them from below, his face etched with concern and a hint of frustration.

Seeing her boyfriend’s worried expression, Laura’s heart ached. She waved frantically to get his attention. “Malichai! Over here!”

Malichai stopped at the base of the Ferris wheel, his eyes locking with Laura’s. He looked relieved but still disappointed. The ride slowly descended, and as they disembarked, Malichai was waiting for them.

“I’m so sorry, Laura,” Malichai said, looking genuinely upset. “I thought I’d be back in time, but I got held up.”

Laura took his hand, squeezing it gently. “It’s okay. I was worried, but I’m glad you’re here now.”

Austin stepped forward, offering Malichai a friendly nod. “Hey, it’s good to see you made it back. We were just talking about how amazing the view was.”

Malichai managed a small smile. “Thanks, Austin. I appreciate you looking out for her.”

With the ride over, the group decided to continue enjoying the carnival together. Laura stayed close to Malichai, making up for the time they missed. The rest of the evening passed in a blur of laughter and shared moments, with the Ferris wheel ride becoming just one of many highlights of their night.
