The morning sun filtered through the canopy of trees as Laura eagerly awaited Floura's arrival with Amelia. She had set up a picnic blanket near the babbling brook in the large Garden, a spot she knew Amelia would adore. Malachi stood beside her, a soft smile on his face as he watched Laura fidget with excitement.
"They'll be here soon," Malachi reassured her, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Laura nodded, glancing towards the back gate which branched into a path that led into the Garden Finally, she spotted Floura emerging from the pathway of trees with Amelia skipping happily beside her.
"Laura!" Amelia exclaimed, running towards her sister with boundless energy.
Laura laughed joyfully, crouching down to catch Amelia in a hug. "Amelia, sweetheart! I'm so glad you're here."
Malachi knelt beside Laura, greeting Amelia with a warm smile. "Hello, Amelia. It's wonderful to see you again."
Amelia beamed up at Malachi, her eyes wide with excitement. "Mr. Happy Man! I drew a picture for You laura said i should keep it to give to you," she said, proudly holding up the same drawing she showed Laura yesterday in her hand
Malachi leaned closer to admire the drawing, his eyes lighting up at the sight of Amelia's artwork. "This is fantastic, Amelia! You're quite the artist."
Amelia giggled, pleased by Malachi's praise. "Thank you! I drew us having a tea party like we used to, with Laura and you and me."
Laura smiled warmly at Amelia, her heart swelling with love. "It's beautiful, Amelia. Thank you for including Malachi in our tea parties."
Floura stood back, watching the scene unfold with a soft smile. "I'll leave you three to enjoy your day together," she said, her voice filled with warmth. "I'll come back for Amelia later this afternoon."
"Thank you, Floura," Laura said gratefully, giving her a nod of appreciation.
As Floura departed, Laura spread out the picnic blanket, inviting Amelia to sit down with them. They spent the morning drawing making more art with supplies laura had bought yesterday Malachi entertained Amelia with magic tricks that left her in awe, while Laura and Amelia reminisced about their favorite childhood memories sharing them with Malachi.
"Laura," Amelia asked suddenly, looking up with curious eyes, "why do you like Mr. Happy Man so much?"
Laura exchanged a glance with Malachi, a tender smile on her lips. "Because, Amelia," she began softly, "Malachi is very special to me. He's someone who makes me feel happy and loved, just like you do."Laura booped Amelias' nose
Amelia nodded thoughtfully, seeming to understand. "I like Mr. Happy Man too," she declared with a giggle, reaching out to hold Malachi's hand.
Malachi chuckled warmly, squeezing Amelia's hand gently. "And I like you, Amelia. You remind me of how magical life can be."
As the day unfolded in the serene clearing,Amelia's curiosity led her to meet each of Laura's friends and associates. She giggled with delight as she listened to Malachi's stories and admired Laura's gentle guidance. However, when Brittany arrived, dressed in her vibrant attire and bold makeup, Amelia's reaction took an unexpected turn.
"Amelia, this is Brittany," Laura introduced cheerfully, gesturing towards the tall woman with a warm smile.
Amelia peeked out from behind Laura, her eyes widening as she took in Brittany's appearance. Suddenly, she squealed and darted behind Malachi, gripping his legs tightly and peeking out cautiously from behind him.
Malachi chuckled softly, bending down to Amelia's level. "Hey there, Amelia. What's the matter?"
Amelia pointed at Brittany with a tiny finger, her voice trembling slightly. "She looks like a scary clown, Mr. Happy Man!"
