Chapter 18 - Date Night Part 2

"Wow! You look beautiful!" Complimented Joe.

I blushed and thanked him also telling the same. He offered me his arm which I gladly took before grabbing my keys and handbag which had my phone in it. I realised that Joe has planned the evening meaning I won't be driving and Joe doesn't have his car.

"I bet you're wondering how on earth were getting to the date..." He read my mind.

"Yes I am actually" I laughed.

"Well here is our ride..." Joe pointed to a large black car which had our own personal chauffeur. I smiled and hugged Joe.

Joe returned the hug and then opened the door for me to get in. Once I clambered in Joe joined me.

"I suppose you aren't going to tell me where this car is going to?" I asked already knowing the answer.

"Of course not!" Joe playfully winked.

I laughed and leaned into his shoulder enjoying his company.

Joe's POV

I can't believe I'm on a date with Lauren. I've liked her for ages but I haven't acted on my feelings until now but once it's actually happened I feel amazing.

I stroked Lauren's arm whilst she leant on my shoulder, sitting in a comfortable silence.

Lauren's POV

The car finally came to a halt after driving for what felt like hours. I'm so impatient. Joe helped me out the car and after I straightened my outfit out I looked up to find out Joe had taken me to the grand opening of the new restaurant "Around the World in 80 Dishes". My mouth gaped open.

"Do you like it?" Joe asked worriedly.

"Oh my god Joe! How did you do this? Reservations must've been hard to get!" I said adding emphasis on the 'hard'.

Joe held out his arm which I gladly took and we made our way inside. We were sat at a beautiful candle-lit table near the window. We ordered our meals and waited.

"This is amazing Joe! I really didn't expect this!" I said thanking him once again.

"Anything for a beautiful girl like you." He replied.

Throughout the course of dinner we talked about our lives and what we want in the future which I was surprised about because Joe's comments weren't what I was expecting but I loved how open he was with me even though we only were having a first date, yeah sure we've been really good friends for a long time but this conversation opened up a whole different side to Joe that I have never encounter before.

After dinner me and Joe strolled lazily around the dark streets of London until we got to a little park where we laid on the grass and gazed at the stars.

"Lauren I've had so much fun tonight, I'm really glad I finally opened up about my feelings...I wanted to know if you would be my girlfriend?"

Joe's POV

I waited patiently for her to answer growing more nervous that every second passed.

"Of course Joe I would love to be your girlfriend!" She exclaimed throwing her arms around me.

I laughed and once she pulled away I looked into her mesmerising blue eyes until I felt myself and her leaning in and a short moment later our lips collied moving perfectly in sync. This was the best night ever and I couldn't be happier!
