Chapter 24 - Second Day of Recording and Surprises

So far today I have woken up and got ready and now I'm on my way to my second day of recording my first ep. Today I was recording the other 3 songs I had left. These 3 were the favourites of mine, one was about Joe another about depression and how to overcome it and the other was about being happy and loving life.

I arrived at the studio at around ten which wasn't bad. When I got into the room I was out straight into the booth to start recording. By twelve I had recorded one song and had a rough recording of another so I went and got lunch which was: a southern fried chicken wrap and a packet of ready salted crisps.

After lunch was over I re-entered the studio and finalised all three songs by half four. My manager told me that my ep would be released later this month or early next month depending on the team working behind the scenes. I thanked everyone then made my way home. When I entered my apartment I slouched onto the settee and laid there for a moment. I was then disturbed by my phone ringing from Zoe.

"Hey Zoe"

"Hey there, what you doing?"

"Oh just lying down after my exhausting day haha"

"Haha, I've got a surprise for you! But I need you to come to mine for it!"

"Okay can I stay overnight?"

"Course! I need you to pick up Joe and Caspar as well if that's okay?"

"That's fine I'll pack my bag and tell them I'm on my way now."

"Okay see you later!"

"Okay bye!"

I hung up and went into my room and started to pack my overnight bag. Once I was ready I texted Joe and Caspar telling them I was on my way to pick them up.

Joe and Caspar were waiting on the pavement once I got to their apartment. I waved and Caspar shouted in Joe's face and started laughing but the conversation was inaudible.

"Hey guys!" I said as they clambered into the car.

"Hey Lauren!" Caspar said getting into the passenger seat. "Joe's upset because I called shotgun and he can't sit next to you.

"She is my girlfriend!"

"Well he did call shotgun Joe."

"Lauren I can't believe your sticking up for him." Joe sulked.

"Don't worry you can sit by me all night when we get to Zoe and Alfie's!"

Joe finally agreed and then we were on our way. We finally arrived and when we were inside we found Jim, Tanya, Niomi and Marcus all sat in the living room. When we all hugged Zoe spoke up.

"Well guys as you all know we have a surprise for you which we have been planning for a while and drum roll please.."

"WERE ALL GOING ON HOLIDAY!!!" Both Zoe and Alfie shouted at the same time.

Everyone erupted into cheers.

"When are we going?" Jim asked.

"February 10th for two weeks." Replied Alfie.

I was so happy spending Valentines Day with Joe abroad and having a holiday with all my friends. This was going to be so much fun.
