Chapter 15: Morgan's Secret Past

Previously at the shop......

Morgan: I'm pregnant and you're the baby daddy!

Sam: What the fuck?!

I just stood there with my mouth wide open and my jaw hit the floor. I started thinking this can't be real.

Me: That's impossible! I never had sex with you!

Morgan: It is possible.

Me: Hell no! That baby ain't mine!

Morgan: You got me pregnant and you gonna take care it!

Me: Bitch! I ain't gotta do shit! 

Sam: Tell her, Charlie!

Morgan: Shut the hell up, Sam! This ain't none of your damn business!

Sam: It is my business when it involves my best friend. You need to stay the hell away from him!

Morgan: Charlie, I'm having your baby. I want us to raise this baby together. I want to be with you.

Me: What the fuck is you talking about?! I'm a married man. I don't want to be with you and I never will! I thought we were friends until you took advantage of me then you come up in my shop with this bullshit? Bitch, you crazy! 

Morgan: You haven't begun to see crazy yet! 

Morgan left the shop and the pizza man showed up. I paid for my pizza and I couldn't even eat it because I couldn't believe Morgan came in my shop with the crazy - ass story. She had me so pissed.

Sam: Damn! I can't believe this mess! She crazy, all right. I never should of invited her to my place to check up on you. I'm so sorry for the shit she put you through. I should of known better. 

Me: It's okay. It's not your fault and we both didn't know. I hope she stays away. Do think she she meant what she said?

Sam: I don't know, man. We better watch out for her ass! Let me get a slice of that pizza before I go. 

Me: Sure.

Sam: Hey! Are you going to tell Brenda about this?

Me: I gotta tell her. I'm not lying to her anymore. I'll tell her tonight.

Sam: All right! Peace!

Me: hey can you watch Jr. Tonight?

Sam: sure! Me and Diane aren't doing anything tonight.

Me: thanks man!

Sam: no problem! Peace!

Me: Peace!

I calmed down, ate my lunch and went back to work. I still had to figure out how to tell Brenda the news. I called Brenda and told her to drop Jr. off at Sam's house  tonight because I wanted to take her out on a date tonight. So I got off around 11 and closed up shop. I got home and took a shower. I took my wife out to an all- night soul food buffet restaurant called Taka's. The food there is delicious. We were eating, I felt Brenda could sense something was wrong because I had a lot on my mind and I was barely eating. So I told her the truth.

Brenda: What's wrong?

Me: (sighs) Something happened at the shop today. 

Brenda: Like what?

Me: Do you remember Morgan from the wedding?

Brenda: Yeah. She's nice.

Me: Well, uh, She's not so nice.

Brenda: What do you mean?

Me: She came into my shop and she wanted to talk to me. I'm like what do want to talk to me about? And she's like I'm pregnant and you're the baby daddy! And I'm like that's impossible because we never had sex.
