Chapter Six: Road to recovery

The next day, I woke up at 8 am. I was still sore from yesterday, so I slowly stood up and walked to the bathroom. Finally, I made it to the bathroom and I brushed my teeth, then I had the sudden need to go really bad. So I went and it was a strange and different feeling. Afterwards, I took all of my clothes and ran some water in the tub. Once I was naked, I looked at myself in the mirror. I saw a whole different person. I smiled because this is who I'm supposed to be at last....a man. So I slowly climbed in the tub and sat down on in the tub. It felt good to soak myself. I also bathed while I was soaking. Then I got out of the tub and put my bathrobe on. Then I went into the bedroom to change my clothes. After I changed into my clothes, my cell rang. It was Brenda. I love that woman.

Me: Hello?

Brenda: Hey baby!

Me Hey! Whatcha doing?

Brenda: I'm picking up some breakfast and coffee. I was hoping I could come to your place.

Me: I was gonna make myself an omelet, but... Okay.

Brenda: You never told me you could cook.

Me: I can cook a little bit here and there.

Brenda: Okay, I'm on my way over and I can't wait to see my sexy man.

Me: (laughs) Oh! I can't wait either, baby.

Brenda: Bye!

Me: Bye!

I hung the phone up and put my slippers on then I went into the living room. I sat on the sofa and turned the TV on. Sam and Diane had gone to work and I wished I was back at work instead of being cooped up in this apartment all day. I missed Morgan and she always cooked for me. I hope I didn't hurt her feelings last night after she kissed me. I was not expecting that. Morgan is an attractive woman but my heart belongs to Brenda. I love Brenda and I don't want anything or anybody to ruin that. So I heard a knock at the door. I got up to answer it and I opened the door. It was Brenda, all beautiful in that sexy dress. I let her in and she set the food and coffee on the table.

Me: Mmm.... Something smells good!

Brenda: Must be my new perfume.

Me: I meant the food.

Brenda: Oh! (Laughs) Are you hungry?

Me: Starved!

She opened the bag and handed me a plate that said Huddle House. I opened the box I saw that there were some eggs, sausages, hash browns, and waffles. She handed me some coffee and a fork.

Me: All my favorites! How did you know?

Brenda: Sam told me.

Me: What else did Sam tell you?

Brenda: She also told me that you like basketball and that you love me very much which I think is very sweet of you because I love you too.

Me: Sam told you that? Remind me to thank her for that.

I kissed Brenda on the lips and then we ate our breakfast. We talked some more and Brenda asked me a question.

Brenda: Have you ever been married?

Me: No, have you?

Brenda: I almost did. Well, it's just that I dated this guy for like a year and then he proposed to me. Then on our wedding day, I found out that he was cheating on me the entire time we were together. My heart was broken and I swore I never let that happened to me again.

Me: Babe, It will never happen again because I would never break your heart or cheat on you besides I love you too much to do that to you.

Brenda: You mean that?
