Nagising ako nang maramdaman ko na may nakatitig sakin.I slowly opened my eyes and was met by Caden's gaze. His eyes were locked onto mine, full of emotions I couldn't decipher. The dim light of the room surrounded us, and I could hear the faint sound of the wind brushing against the window.
"You're finally awake," he said, his voice barely a whisper. There was a warmth in his voice that made my heart race. I couldn't take my eyes off him, as if his gaze had a magnetic pull bringing me back to reality from my dreams.
He smiled at me, but I continued to stare at him. What happened last night was real, yet everything felt like a dream.
I nodded, finally breaking away from his gaze, and got up from the bed. The aroma of freshly cooked food wafted through the air, drawing me toward the kitchen. As we walked together, I couldn't help but steal glances at him, still trying to reconcile the events of last night with the reality of the morning.
In the kitchen, the table was set with a simple yet comforting breakfast. Caden pulled out a chair for me before taking a seat across the table.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked, a hint of concern in his eyes.
I hesitated for a moment, recalling the whirlwind of emotions from the previous night. "It was... different," I replied, a soft smile forming on my lips.
Pagkatapos namin kumain, lumapit ako sa sofa dahil nagpumilit si Caden na siya na ang maghuhugas ng mga plato. Sinabi ko na ako na ang gagawa, pero mapilit siya, kaya wala akong nagawa.
"Lumapit sa akin ang dalawang pusa at sinubsob ang kanilang mga katawan sa akin."
I smiled as I petted both of them. Asden and Scarden had grown since I last saw them during the family dinner last week, but they always acted this way when they saw me.
"They missed you," Caden said with a chuckle .
Napatingin ako kay Caden na ngayon ay nakasandal sa pintuan ng kusina habang nakatitig sa amin.
"I missed them too" I said with a smile, as I looked at them. As I petted them, they closed their eyes, seemingly savoring my touch.
Caden joined me on the floor, stroking Scarden’s back. "They’re always like this when you’re not around. You have a way with them."
"Maybe they just know how much I love them," I said, giving him a playful nudge.
We sat there for a few moments, enjoying the peaceful morning with the cats. It was a small but precious moment that made the upcoming day's challenges seem a bit less daunting.
Napatingin ako sa kamay ko nang hawakan ito ni Caden, at pagkatapos ay tumingin ako sa kanya. Ngayon, nakangiti siya habang nakatitig sa akin.
"I'm happy to be with you now.'"
Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya at ramdam ko ang init ng kanyang mga mata na punung-puno ng saya. Hinawakan ko rin siya sa kamay "Me too" I said, and then he moved his hand to my face and kissed me on the forehead.
Pagkatapos ng ilang minuto ng aming sandali, nagpasya na kaming maghanda para pumunta sa school.
Wala naman akong naging problema dahil marami akong bagong damit na iniwan dito.
Pagbaba ko ng hagdan, nakita kong nakatayo si Caden na tila may kausap sa telepono. Agad siyang napalingon sa akin at ngumiti bago inilagay ang telepono sa bulsa ng kanyang pantalon at inabangan akong makababa."
“Sumakay ka na lang sa akin,” saad niya nang makababa ako. Nagulat ako sa sinabi niya dahil hindi ako makapaniwala.
“Seryoso ka?” tanong ko nang hindi makapaniwala.
