Rose - A Poppy Playtime Story

Chapter 1 - Eight

(Hello my friends, welcome to the first chapter!)

The fake sun that was displayed on the ceiling of the Home Sweet Home dome shown brightly, making everything under its rays look like it was glowing.

All of the critters were on a field surrounded by children all chatting excitedly. Playtime Co. had mentioned that they had a surprise for everyone this morning.

The critters could think of what this 'surprise' was, based on where they were.

Yes, they were on a field like any normal day, but there was a stage set up in front of them.

The very same stage that all the rest of the critters were introduced with. That means that they were getting a new 'friend'.

The yellow chicken named Kickin' didn't like this at all. They had finally gotten comfortable with the last critter introduced.

The critter in mention was a pink pig by the name of Picky, who loved cooking and eating.

Kickin' was the one before her, he loved aquatic sports and being the coolest critter around.

Bobby, a red bear, was the one before him. She adored everyone and everything. She was also really out going, and just an absolute sweetheart.

Hoppy was before Bobby. Hoppy was a green athletic bunny that could jump almost 10 feet.

Crafty was the one before her. She was a timid unicorn with cyan hair. She also loved making arts, crafts, painting, and drawings for the kids.

Then, before Crafty there was Bubba. A very intelligent blue elephant. He often taught the children interesting facts and kept the other critters out of trouble.

And then there was the first critter ever made: Dogday. A yellow and orange dog that was very enthusiastic and friendly. Just thinking about him made you smile.

Now they were getting a new one. One they haven't heard of or ever seen. Someone that might be the rudest toy around.

It was common to have this certain type of fear and anger when a new critter was released.

They had done this with everyone. Only then to realize that they were wrong and that it was rude of them to assume the worst.

They didn't even know what the critters had gone through before becoming a toy. That experience was traumatic enough.

Dogday was the only one to remember the entire process, and he would often have nightmares about it.

The critters made him their leader because of this.

Furthermore, this caused Dogday to be the only one who had never judged anyone before he met them personally.

He also always seemed to looked for the good in people, never expecting the bad.

Suddenly everyone was cut off by a male scientist with black hair and green eyes entering the stage.

The kids beamed up at him excitedly. Despite what he has done to children just like them, but the children didn't know that.
