(Hello!)

The fake moon on the ceiling was dim, and the sound of the crickets wasn't present.

It was quiet, the only sound coming from a certain purple house. The door slowly opening.

Catnap walked out of his house, keeping his head down. It was four in the morning. Two hours until the critters had to normally get up.

He didn't want to see the other critters, not after yesterday. He felt so embarrassed.

Yesterday the rest of the critters had made sure that Catnap had gotten to the medical center before anything else.

He was a little loopy from being hit, so Dogday carried him the entire way. Catnap thought he could've managed, but the dog refused to let him go.

Catnap surprisingly didn't have a concussion or anything, but a big bruise was present on his eye.

It hurt like hell. Every time he blink he was reminded of getting hit in the face, or in other words making a fool out of himself.

He should have paid attention.

Finally he reached his favorite spot: the tree. It was big, tall, and overlooked the entire field.

He climbed up with little effort, sticking his claws into the tree bark. Once he reached a branch he pulled himself up onto it.

He then laid down, curling into a ball. Putting his hands under his head.

Tears could be seen in his eyes. He didn't care if they fell or not, he was alone.

Or maybe he wasn't that alone.

The faint sound of footsteps could be heard but he just didn't care, hopeful that whoever it was would leave him alone.

Then a stick snapping almost right behind him echoed through the open area. Well, his hope was gone.

He screeched slightly, quickly turning his head to the direction of noise.

An orange dog met his gaze. His ears down, and hid tail between his legs.

"Dogday? What are you doing here?" Catnap asked. The dog was never up this early.

"I...I saw you leave your house and I wanted to talk to you in private so..." The dog answered. Dogday had followed him in hopes of getting to talk to the feline.

Catnap just nodded. He sat up, keeping his eyes on the other critter. Dogday stood there looking up at the cat.

"Aren't you going to talk?" Catnap asked. Dogday seemed to get flustered, not really knowing what to do.

"Well, I wanted to talk at the same...level, I guess you could say." Dogday said. Catnap just patted the spot next to him on the branch.

Dogday gulped. He didn't know how to that climb that well.

Though he still went to the base of the tree, hugging his arms around it attempting to try to climb.

Catnap giggled from his spot on the branch. Idiotic dog. He thought.

"That's not how you climb trees." He said through giggles. Catnap stretched his tail down to wrap around Dogday's waist.
