(Here we go!)
Dogday and Angel traveled through the bloody and dark hallways, they asked each other questions. Both trying to get to know the other better.
"So you what's your favorite season?" Angel asked, looking at the dog in their arms.
"Oh, um I guess I like summer. You know, because it's so warm and bright..." The dog waved one of his hands in the air as he spoke.
"Nice, I like the fall. It's so calm and peaceful, except for Halloween, that holiday honestly just brings me nightmares." Angel slightly shivered with fear at the last statement.
"Really? You get nightmares from a holiday with candy?"
"Listen, when I was a kid my Dad brought me into a bunch of haunted house and I was terrified. Then, I constantly get jump scared by Halloween decorations. Plus, there's the time when I got lost in my neighborhood and thought I was going to die."
The human looked down after they finished speaking, slightly snickering at Dogday's expression.
His mouth was slightly open, and his ears were slightly sprung up in surprise.
"I am so sorry I ever doubted the creepiness and horror of Halloween." He said, staring into Angel's eyes.
The human slightly smiled, looking to the path ahead of them.
"So, how long have you been chained up?" They asked, suddenly.
"Oh, about ten years...maybe? I don't know. It's kind of a blur, but I think around the time when the factory closed..."
"Oh my god..."
"Yeah..." Dogday simply responded, "So, what is your favorite color?" The dog asked trying to ease the awkwardness.
"Oh, I'd have to say that it's yellow. What about you?"
The dog slightly paused. "It's sort of a tie between two colors. I like orange and...purple." The dog hesitated.
"So, orange like you, and purple like that cat thing?" Angel asked, Dogday tensed a little.
"You know about him?" The dog asked, looking at the human with worry.
"Yeah, I've seen him on a lot of posters and stuff. He seems like the oddball of the group to be honest. Something about him always made me feel a little nervous, but he also made me feel...safe? It's weird."
"Yeah, Catnap can have that effect on people..."
"Hey, I know that we just met, but that doesn't mean that you have to hide stuff from me. We are in this together, we have to trust each other."
"What?" Dogday asked, genuinely confused, the human looked at him.
"The moment I mentioned that cat you tensed up, was he important to you?" The human asked.
"Yeah...he was really close to me, but not so much any more. It got...complicated."
"Why?" Angel asked, they looked down at Dogday. The orange canine now had tears in his eyes, his expression slightly dull.
