**Shana's POV**

I thought I had finally escaped him, finally broken free from his grasp. But as I saw him standing there, gun in hand, I knew I was wrong.

It was like nothing had changed. He was still the same ruthless, cold-blooded man I had met 2 years ago. And yet, as I looked into his eyes, I saw something else there too. A spark of humanity, a glimmer of vulnerability.

As we fought off the men who had ambushed us, I couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement mixed with fear. This was it, the world I had always known. The world of guns and violence and power.

But as we stood there, panting and covered in blood, Matthew's eyes locked onto mine. And for a moment, I felt like he saw me, really saw me. Like he knew the truth about me, about who I was beneath the surface.

And then it was over. The shooting stopped, and we were left standing alone in the deserted alleyway.

Matthew's grip on my arm tightened as he pulled me closer. "You're coming with me," he growled.

I nodded, feeling a sense of resignation wash over me. I knew what this meant. I was back in his world now. Back in the game.

As we walked away from the scene of the crime, I couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead. Would I be able to adapt to this life again? Would I be able to survive?

But as Matthew's hand wrapped around mine, I knew that for better or for worse, I was in this now. And there was no going back.
