Chapter 20

**Scar's POV**

I raised my gun, my finger tightening around the trigger. "You'll never take them from me," I sneered at Matthew.

My minions did the same, their guns pointed at Matthew, Alexander, and Dantae. I felt a thrill of excitement as I realized that the moment of truth had finally arrived.

Matthew, never one to back down from a fight, pulled out his own gun and pointed it at me. "Let them go," he growled.

The air was electric with tension as we faced off against each other. I could feel the weight of my gun in my hand, and I knew that I was ready to do whatever it took to get what I wanted.

And then, suddenly, there was a shot. A loud, piercing sound that shattered the silence of the room.

I felt a jolt of surprise as one of my minions fell to the ground, a look of shock on his face. I spun around, trying to see what had happened...

**Dantae's POV**

I felt a searing pain in my stomach as something hit me. I doubled over, my vision blurring.

What happened? I thought dizzily. Why did it hurt so much?

As my vision began to clear, I saw Matthew and Scar staring at each other in shock. Alexander and Shameka were frozen in place, their eyes wide with fear.

Shameka's voice was like a distant cry in my ear. "Dantae! Oh no!"

I tried to speak, but my voice was barely a whisper. "Shameka...help..."

**Shameka's POV**

I felt like I'd been punched in the gut as Dantae fell to the ground. My heart was racing as I stared at hik, my mind reeling with panic.

Alexander's face was white as he rushed to Dantae side. "Dantae, no!" he cried.

I felt like I was going to pass out as I stared at Dantae pale face. He wasn't responding...

**Shana's POV**

I rushed to Dantae side, feeling a wave of fear wash over me. He was lying on the floor, he eyes closed...

"Dantae, please wake up," I whispered, shaking Him gently.

But he didn't respond. I looked up at Matthew and Scar, who were still locked in a standoff.

This couldn't be happening...Not now...
