**The Masked Figure's POV**

I followed the group for what felt like hours, my eyes fixed on them as we walked through the dark streets. They were getting closer to their destination, and I could sense the excitement building inside me.

As we turned a corner, I caught a glimpse of the old warehouse in the distance. It was abandoned, a relic of a bygone era. But I knew its secrets.

The group quickened their pace, and I matched them, staying just out of sight. They were getting closer and closer to their goal.

And then, suddenly, they stopped. They looked around nervously, as if sensing that they were being watched.

I froze, my heart racing with anticipation. Had they seen me? No, no, it was impossible. I was too careful.

But then, one of them turned towards me. A girl with short brown hair and piercing green eyes. She looked straight at me, her gaze piercing through the darkness.

For a moment, we locked eyes. And in that moment, I felt a jolt of fear.

Had she seen me?

I quickly looked away, pretending to be nothing more than a passing stranger. But I knew that look. That look was recognition.

And then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, it was gone. The group continued to move forward, unaware of the danger lurking just behind them.

I took a deep breath and continued to follow, my heart pounding in my chest. I had to get there before them.

But as I walked, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched too...
