Hearing the knock, both men looked at the door. However, their expressions were quite different. Seonghwa got scared, he didn't know the person. He didn't know the intentions. He knew nothing. He had to trust Hongjoong's choice in friends, which is hard considering he didn't fully trust Hongjoong himself. The knock itself also scared him, much how he had gotten scared when Hongjoong previously knocked on the door of the bathroom.
The brown haired man however, was more happy to hear the knock. He hadn't spoken to his friend in a while. Even though the visit was supposed to be short, they at least go to talk. Their lives were very different and had very different schedules, which caused them to be able to barely meet up and talk.
He got up quickly and went over to the door, opening it. He was greeted by his friend, a man of the same height. But that was the only thing that was the same. The friend had short pink hair, indicating he was of pretty high status. Meanwhile Hongjoong was one of the people with the lowest status. And yet, they were friends. It was uncommon in this world, but it happened and those relationships of any sort were either toxic or the best ones you could find.
That was at least how Hongjoong had always seen it while growing up.
"Hey Joong! It's been a while."
The pink haired man spoke with a bright smile, seeming very happy to be seeing his brown haired friend again. He used a nickname for his friend to address him with. Before an answer could be given, he gave Hongjoong a hug.
"Been a while indeed, Woo"
Hongjoong replied, hugging back for a few seconds before pulling away. Like he had mentioned before, he wasn't exactly a touchy person, even with his closest friend.
The pink haired man let go of his friend and was about to enter the apartment until he took a notice of Seonghwa, who was just watching them from the couch in silence. He was analyzing what was going on.
"Oh right, you said you had company."
Hongjoong nodded, closing the door behind his friend. He looked over at Seonghwa, giving a small nod and assuring a smile to show it was okay and he didn't need to be scared.
"Are you going to introduce us or am I gonna have to?"
The pink haired man asked, glancing at his friend.
"Right. Wooyoung, this is Seonghwa. Seonghwa, this is Wooyoung, my best and childhood friend."
Nod.
"Nice to meet you, Seonghwa!"
Wooyoung spoke, receiving no answer from the white haired male. He furrowed his brows at the lack of response.
Hongjoong took a notice and quickly came up with an explanation to give his friend.
"He's hoarse, he wants and needs to let his voice and throat rest."
Both Seonghwa and Wooyoung turned their gazes to the brown haired man as they heard the explanation. It was no lie, but the reason was left out, leaving it to the pink haired male's imagination.
"Ahh, I see, makes sense."
Wooyoung exclaimed, not even asked for the reason. He assumed Seonghwa had gone to a concert and screamed too much, something along those lines, it would make sense.
The brown haired man was relieved no questions were asked, he hadn't thought of a reason he could possibly give for the hoarse throat. And he doubted Seonghwa would appreciate the truth being told. He surely wouldn't. Plus, he didn't even know the full truth, he had only made assumptions and jumped to conclusions. He had no idea if his assumptions were even true.
